Pound for pound the 182 is the better option IF all you care about is performance. If you want a car that is sensational to look at and to drive and leaves you grinning from ear to ear after every drive then pound for pound the V6 is the much better option.
As for straight line speed, the V6...
Nice driving, though far too aggressive for an open trackday. If you had driven that close to the back of my car after having almost crashed into me I would have got straight out of your way and given you the bird as you overtook.
I spotted a yellow 182 in a BP garage in Newbury at the weekend. I was in my yellow V6 and we obviously spotted each other. I would have said hi but you were too good looking :)
My V6 takes ages to get warm.
I can actually drive the car 100 or so miles down the motorway without the engine ever reaching normal temperature. I know that the gauge is right because the air coming out of the heater is also cold / luke warm.
When the car is stationary and isn’t being...
They were all fitted with a tracker. However, for it to be initialised you have to join up with Tracstar (or a spelling similar to that). When I bought my car I was given the opportunity to pay £195 for a lifetimes membership. I declined as I would rather my car was not returned if stolen.
Ah and another thing. Your welcome to come to the V6 meet next Sunday - I'll be happy to take you (or your missus) for a test drive.

The V6 is an amazing car.
The only dissapointing aspect is the performance. It is only marginally faster than a 172 / 182 and I doubt that you would notice any performance difference between a mk1 V6 and a mk 2 (any extra bhp is cancelled out by extra weight).
I bought mine 4 months ago...
I saw a Blue V6 passing through Basildon on Saturday (about 2p.m.)
We tried to catch up with you in my friends Fiat Coupe but unfortuantely the traffic was to bad.
I don't know any of the background to this vid - I just found it on another car forum.
The Clio does well at the start but I guess he should have taken more care in the wet...
I wonder if he was able to claim of his insurance?

I spent today at the Pod (hi to those Cliosport members that I met).
I did several runs and everytime I got the book figure of 14.6 secs. No matter how hard I launched (3K - 4.5K rpm) I never could get lower.
Has anyone managed to get lower in a standard, unstripped V6?
A vid of one...
