I have to agree with gaz-kev, having owned renault sports for 8 years now thats not a noise i have heard before!.......And surely cant be normal.

Turns out I was right-new gear box being fitted a week today!

Well i would describe it as a bearing type noise! very annoying! Doesnt sound induction to me!

No thats not it, doesnt sound the same and mine tends to be at low speeds

Hey guys Am a little concerned about a noise that sounds like its coming from gearbox when you lift off the accelerator(seems to be worse in 3rd and 4th) its like a metalic/whirring noise and very noticable when the windows are open so obviously quite noisy outside of car!! Any ideas...

This is to do with the map on the ecu trying to over fuel the cat to get it to temp! Nothing to do with clutch Renault have released an updated map which they will install for you free of charge if you go in to your dealer

yeah thats what i thought, maybe some water got into a sensor as its been chucking it down and motorway was well wet

well i have just run the car for 20 mins and the fan has cut in and the temp guage hasnt moved above what it normally sits at, took ages for the fan to come in but defo did. How strange????

well im not sure about the fan i think it may have something to do with that as i dont think it did

Sat on motorway in traffic jam this morning closely behind a lorry. when all of a sudden i noticed the temp guage at its maximum and the stop light on with the engine management light. Stuck in traffic so turned engine off and started again after 5 mins and then temp had gone back down to...

Had my renewal through this week and my car insurance seems to have rocketed up to £500 this year and havent made any claims or anything. phoned them to ask why and they said they couldnt do any better and even when i threatened leaving they still said they couldnt offer it any cheaper...
