Im sure I read that Road Angel do an aerial but its about £80?? Ive got my mobile phone aerial in the clear bit of the windscreen and that was only £15 but I presume this would be different to GPS.

I agree Grant and thats very similar to my set up. Ive got a 4 channel Rockford amp under my seat (punch 400a4), 2 channels of which are bridged to my JL 12W3 and it sounds the absolute nuts.

I know this is off topic but Id just like to say, this is one of the most sensible, responsible and interesting posts I have read on here for a long time. Im not ruling out all the other good stuff that is on here still and the hardcore of contributors that make this site so successful, but...

Sounds interesting Joe. Might be an obvious question, but would they be set to still have enough legs to cruise comfortably at m/way speeds? Like the idea of six speeds to get around the somewhat awkward mid ratios of the 172 but I do a lot of m/way miles too so would need tractability...
