Megane RS 280 sport VS cup VS Trophy

If you’re interested guys - picked this up today and said goodbye to my Clio 220. I really like it!

Megane RS 280 sport VS cup VS Trophy

Thanks for all your feedback - I think I read that article and it does suggest that the Sport chassis is better for roads. I do know what you mean about the resale though - at first, I wasn’t even entertaining the 280s; let alone one without the cup chassis. I just don’t want to be underwhelmed...

Megane RS 280 sport VS cup VS Trophy

Hi everyone. I posted a while back about your opinions on different cars - I’ve decided (I think) that I’m going to stick with Renault and go for a 280 but with the normal ‘sport’ chassis - anyone got any experience with these? I did have a look for a Megane RS website but they seemed pretty...

    220 Clio tuning West Midlands?

Hi guys. I posted a couple of months ago regarding selling my Clio to get something faster but I’ve decided to stick with the Clio for at least another year. Just wondering if you know anyone that does any tuning? I live in the Black Country. My old Fiesta ST had the MP215 remap and was great...

Is the RS Clio Turbo good as a daily?

I’ve had a Clio Trophy 220 for four years. Out of the things I like/dislike about it; the ride isn’t one of them. I find it quite comfortable and it’s surprisingly ‘soft’ considering how much grip you have got. Running costs are decent too considering the power on tap. Easy to drive too -...

    RS 220 to Megan’s 300 or AMG35?

Thanks for these replies; my email didn’t notify me. I wasn’t aware of those tax implications, I’ll have to look into them. I tend to buy cars 6-12 months old to save on the initial costs. I agonised over the Clio because I was worried about the gearbox failing - now I’m worried about boot...

    RS 220 to Megan’s 300 or AMG35?

Hi all. I hope you are well. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here (I have been happy with my car :). Anyway, I currently have a Clio RS trophy 220. 16 plate with about 27k miles. TBH, all my worries about the gearbox were unfounded. It’s had literally no issues other than needing it’s...

    Clio RS 220 Trophy mats

That is expensive. Is there no way I can get them 'custom made' or do you think it is worth paying the extra money for the official ones?

    Clio RS 220 Trophy mats

Hello everybody. Can anyone direct me towards some 'proper' mats for the above car? It's got standard Clio mats in at the moment that look a bit naff. I have come across some on the web but they seemed very expensive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I'm also after a dash cam...

    Used Clio Trophy 220 reliability

Went out today - don't know what road it was in Shropshire but I think I started to fall in love for the Clio. I would say the 220 is better than the ST 215. I had it in semi auto but in Sport (race with no traction control is a bit much personally) and it was brilliant. Much more confidence...

    Used Clio Trophy 220 reliability

I don't think I have the RS monitor then :( My old job was 30 miles per day round trip so I'll probably be better off fuel wise but still a little disappointing - I thought it would be more efficient with the auto gearbox. Oh well. Do you guys use any particular wax? It's black and I want to try...

    Used Clio Trophy 220 reliability

Hello everyone. Been a couple more weeks with the Clio and getting used to it. I don't think I have the RS monitor, or if I do I don't know how to find it. Fuel consumption isn't amazing, getting 28mpg to and from work (about 7/8 miles 1/3 motorway, 1/3 dual carriageways, 1/3 side streets with...

    Used Clio Trophy 220 reliability

Sooo, I picked up the car yesterday. It sticks to the road so well. More confidence inspiring than my ST 215. Not sure if it's the tyres or the car itself but a spin in the damp last night was so much fun. Still getting used to the auto clutch though and the car cuts out at the traffic lights...
