For me, that ending makes the most sense really and in all fairness, there's no such thing as a "good" ending in Cyberpunk. It isn't what the genre is about, it's all bleak.

Up until you reach the point you can go and meet Hanako at Embers (NOCTURNE OP55N1). Once you reach that point, I'd say it's about the perfect time to go to Phantom Liberty.
