Your bonnet switch is probably faulty so someone has disconnected it. As per Matt’s pic above, whip it out (big boy!) and see if it’s connected or not.

In that case get a Pioneer Bluetooth mechless unit. They’re about the simplest to use. Some manufacturers make things impossible to use when you’re driving! But then get yourself a wiring adapter for the hand controls and you’re golden. (If you’re still on standard speakers they will last...

A fiesta ST makes a better daily and is (much) less costly to fix when it breaks. 197/200’s handle the best though. They’re epic! Just not sure I’d want the repair costs of the Renaults now.
