I have just checked the TDC sensor resistance and its 240 Ohms, it should be 220 Ohms, is this acceptable or an indication of a faulty TDC sensor. The MAP sensor appears ok. What should I look out for in the throttle body ? thanks Chas

Folks my Clio 1.4 rt '98 Mk 2 is back firing, hesitant and tries to cut out. It starts ok first time then after about 6 seconds, (when something kicks in ?) ,the problems start. I replaced the Engine coolant temp. sensor, and checked/cleaned the TDC sensor. I also replaced the ignition coils...

Thanks edde, how do I check it exactly ? I have the Ohm meter , but the sensor only has one terminal . If I put one lead on the terminal on the sensor, where do I put the other?? I tried puting one lead on the terminal and the other on the other end of the sensor ( brass bit). any ideas ...

I took the old sensor in today and showed them...still clueless.... I told them it should cost about £12.50 , so they ordered a sensor with that price. The other sensors were £25. This was the only clue I could give them !. How do you test the Ohm resistance on this sensor , it has only one...

I phone the local Renault dealer parts dept. and asked for a Coolant Temp. Sensor for my Clio 1.4 rt 1998 "S" reg. The parts dept. expert then asked for my full reg. which I gave. She (yes it was a lady !) then asked if it was a screw in type, to which I replied "you tell me because I dont know...

Folks My clio MK2 - 1.4 RT (1998) Manual {30,000 miles } starts ok first time, but tries to conk out at idle. When you put your foot down it stutters misfires hesitates---keep pumping accelerator and it picks up and will run ok at 3000 or 4000 rpm + . I replaced all four ignition coils and...
