    Big Meet - Southsea 14/01/17

I've been told by a colleague there's a big meet tonight down Southsea seafront, we're both heading down around 6. I think there's 20 or so cars coming over from the IOW. Not Clio or Renault exclusive.

Clipped a Kerb - Alignment Needed!

Ok, thanks for all that. I'm planing to have a load of work done later in the year once I've recovered from xmas so I'll add the bearings to that list and get the track rods on order. Looking at the damage it does look more of a scuff than a direct hit, the car didn't jerk much when I hit it...

Clipped a Kerb - Alignment Needed!

I should have been more careful, people always merge too quickly there, I've had people straddle both lanes from MD's. Then give you the finger when you honk them! Thanks, I'm going to get it on the jack and have a look. I'm not hugely familiar with what I'm looking for, any easy checks to do?

    Clio 200 Mega Flatspot

Thought I'd update, plugs helped a little and were a light dirty. It turned out to be the lambda sensor only, I found a very similar post about a 182, seriously surprised it could cause such a bad fault. Had it swapped and the code reset, good as new :-)

Clipped a Kerb - Alignment Needed!

Cheers for that, I'll have a look there as well. Newgate Lane, just after MD's, guy pulled out from that left turn too wide, I reacted and just clipped the traffic light island :rage:

Clipped a Kerb - Alignment Needed!

A less than perfect start to Xmas day, clipped a central island at about 40-50 trying to avoid some t**t that couldn't stay in his lane. Sliver lining, the front tyres needed replacing anyway, the drivers side certainly does now. Plus my wheels have been crying out for a refurbishment for a...

    Yellow 182 Fareham Town Centre

I was on foot, thought about taking a cheeky photo, but didn't want to look like some car perv 😂

Stopped at the lights opposite Pizza Hut, think you were turning left into town.

    Clio 200 Mega Flatspot

Haha, thanks guys, I went with the Euro ones. There's a depo at the end of the road from my work, already picked them up and should have them fitted tonight.

On a side note, does anyone know if these are the right plugs? Euro have a black Friday sale :-) http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Renault_Clio_2.0_2012/p/car-parts/regular-service/car-service-parts/spark-plugs/?408745100&1&4f9a604a9dbf628e89d28e3f6d2c8d7d98258d7a&000301 Edit: Answered my own...

    Clio 200 Mega Flatspot

Welch automotive in Fleet, bit of a trek for me, but they came recommended and Mike at Rentech wasn't free till Monday. Welch used to race Formula Renault and Clios.

    Clio 200 Mega Flatspot

Bit of an update, had a garage look at it yesterday. They think it's dirty spark plugs or broken spark plugs, they suggested it could be the injectors or a spark plug coil pack. I'm thinking injectors personally, the car had been running rich, I did put that down to the de-cat but it could be...

    Clio 200 Mega Flatspot

Thanks guys, I've been planning a remap for a while and thought it may help so I'll get her booked in. Any recommendations in the Portsmouth area, I'd like to avoid driving across the country if possible  I did a lot of reading before the de-cat and heard they can be fussy, the strange...

    Clio 200 Mega Flatspot

I've got it booked in for Monday, earliest available space. The guy who read the codes said they were all emission sensor codes, and that they'd most likely go away after refitting the cat. I suspect there's more, maybe the sensor needs replacing.
