@Louis - Gave them a light clean up with some emory paper and they slot straight on. My top hat and collar sit flush, not sure any need for a washer but will try when fully rebuilt & see if i notice any knocking. Thanks for your reply!
I'm also fairly confident that the helper spring should be on the bottom of the main spring opposed to the top as these have been delivered. Does it matter??
Good afternoon Chaps,
I’ve just tried to mock build my front struts into the top mounts and hit a problem. The lower insert in the top mount does not fit all the way over the strut piston. It goes over the threads ok but is not big enough in diameter to locate onto the top spring cup.

HAHA!!
Iceburg Silver Cup here, 131k, Engine strong & due a bodywork restoration over next 12 months! Going for S/C set up with clubsport inspired interior.
I've re-used main bolts before, dont have the spec to hand anymore but i never had a problem. When installing new bearings, apply plastigauge to the shell before torquing down to ensure the crank is within tolerance.
If you want to replace what you have - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SM45-Universal-Exhaust-Rubber-Mount-M8-Bolt-Hanger-Support-Classic-Kit-Cars-/221108000360
Honestly, your best bet would be to get a local exhaust firm to remake the mounts to hang in the original mounts. The lower 2 pictures show where the other OE mount should bolt too. I'm only up at Wickford, if you ever need a hand on it give me a shout!
They aren't OE mounts & don't look anywhere near man enough to support the weight of the exhaust. What system do you have fitted? Where in Essex are you?
As above, either bend up or cut off and use the popper retainers. The Busch can be fettled flatter with a nice hammer! Job done
