I've fitted Powerflex arb bushes in the past, and know they're fine. But at £95 for a set versus less than £10 for the Febi ones above, I can't justify the extra cost. Plus, I'm sure the Febi one will likely outlast the time I keep the car. I suspect the ones on it are original and 22 years old now.
Update on this, I ended up ordering lower ball joints from ECP, as this was causing my front-end knocking noise. Part numbers above are correct.

Also, as I'm having new tyres fitted today, and the tracking was out...
I guess it's more costly to crash on track than it is on the road from a financial point of view? Do you also get charged for recovery if you break down on track?
His V8 E36 is pretty cool too.
I scratched one of my side panels, trying to put the front bumper back on, on one of my previous 182's years ago. If I were doing it again alone, I'd probably just throw some masking tape on there to protect the side panels.
Annoyingly, these PS5 have been out of stock for a couple of weeks or more, and Camskill reckon they'll not be back in stock until the end of June. So I've ended up having to order something else.
Went for some Kuhmo PS71's, based on reviews/tests I've found online. They're typically 1-2% worse...
I removed an RS2 inlet from a 182 a few years ago to go back to the standard inlets. I was selling the car, so it just made sense for the small account of work. Sold it for £1k, and already had all the bits to return it to standard.
Anyway the car was mapped by rs tuning, made 185bhp, and...
I bought an E91 325d a couple years ago that had done very few miles over the previous 3-4 years, The previous owner had generally looked after it pretty well, and had owned the car for around 10 years, but just didn't need to use it very often towards the final years. That had similar issues...
I'm pretty sure mine is the same system, and it isn't droney at all. It is however, pretty loud, and definitely more raspy than typical. But it also has a sports cat rather than the standard cat. In the past on my 182's, I've found that changing from the standard cat to a sports cat makes a big...
Can I check I've got the correct part for my 172 cup before ordering with the more knowledgeable people on here?
Firstly, I believe the ARB bushes should be 23mm and 25mm in diameter, but Autodoc lists them as 23.5mm inner and 24mm outer.
Inner bush...
I've still not pulled the trigger on any of these, as I'm going back and forth.
I think either way, I want to upgrade the top mounts to fixed. So, pricing becomes pretty much the same for the two options.
Do you know what spring ratings you're using?
Looking at spring rates for lowering...
Where are people ordering these from?
The only place I've seen them available is Camskill, and loads of places around me refuse to fit tyres bought from elsewhere.
This for Road use or track, or both? I've seen some complaints about the Bilsteins being too soft on track, but also a thread or two about them also being too stiff. I know the setup and feel are subjective, so just gathering some opinions at this stage before committing.
I've not seen too...
Looking to freshen up the suspension on my Cup, and with the cost of dampers these days I'm looking at potentially moving to Coilovers, so I'm reviewing options at the cheaper end of the spectrum (approx £750-£1k).
Initially, I just figured I'd throw a set of Bilstein B14's on it, as the car...
I think Jimmy Oakes is probably the only channel I've watched consistently for several years now. Recent videos haven't been the best, but generally the videos are pretty good. I'm surprised he's not got a higher sub count to be honest.
