I went down this road because i thought its a short cut... big mistake, the road was literally an ice rink! As i got further down the road there was a ka who had obviously 360d into a wall and done a lot of damage.. at first i thought it was just a very badly parked car!

Good thing about these small modern engines, great fuel economy! My 1.2 16v always puts in around 47mpg, no matter how hard i drive it! On the motorway i can see diesel-esque figures, though thats driving at like a constant 70, which is very hard to do when youre in a hurry!

when i book mine in for the first service im going to take a picture with my phone of the digital mileage, and then if theyve caned it for 50 odd miles im going to complain and show them the picture of the mileage just after i dropped it off.

Your clio is 6 weeks old... how many miles has it done? Its probably not proparly loosened up yet - give it more time!

My gearbox on my 1.2 16v seems to whine a little in 1st gear when im doing high speeds (for 1st gear), with the clutch down and then when i raise the clutch back up, it makes a nasty whine. I dont know if its just the noise the gearbox makes when its being stressed in 1st gear, or whether its...

However I drive, I always seem to get about 45mpg from my 1.2 16v. When I do long motorway trips it goes up to the high 50s.
