I just got me new cam timing tool for a f4r suck it on and started doing the cam bolts up. on the inlet cam when doing it up i felt something move.
i investigated and found that if u lock up the pully end and stick one end of the timing tool in the inlet cam you can turn the cam maybe 20...
What does a failing dephaser pulley sound like??? If I un plug the actuator it's quiet if I plug it in and rev it when it switches over it makes a terrable noise not un like valves hitting pistons. rattly. Any one had this happen
8 is very good well worth doing. Also how good is the standard
map I run a mega squirt and on my current f7r 15hp was the difference
Between standard ecu and re map can I except the same?
This is good cheers guys. My next question is what gains are
Avalable from good head porting. The standard head ports have been very roughly
CNC ported by reno and look easy to improve. I'm keen to get good gains and keep
The stock cams. I'm after response and torq as it's a road rally car
hello iv read references to these matched inlets.
has anyone done it or brought them and had a rolling road sesh to see the gain?
As i have taken a f4r to pices recently to port the head fit cams ect ect.
The ports in the manifold dont seem too bad and on the join between the first and second...
it aint variable valve timing. i.e. v tec. the 4500 boost u feal is the just the engine coming into its own, my willy engine takes off at 4000, it changes tone and starts pullimg like a beast. however the f4r is a better engine and pulls harder
hi iv just got a 172 engine for me 5. now i dont know what to do about the timing, i have mega squirt so can probably work out how to control it.
What i need to know is, is it just a on/off 12v power supply which swithes it ?
At what revs does it change?
has anyone got rid of it or just set it...
