i originally thought bearing when the sound got less when turning right, never had a front wheel bearing go only a rear. Will get a second opinion as I don’t want to be replacing parts that don’t need to be.

nope, the mechanic said he couldn’t see any play in them. will get a second opinion tomorrow.

Replaced the passenger side driveshaft as the mechanic said it had some play and the vibration is still there :mad: what else could be the problem?

Engine mods are pointless as you wont see any gains. As above lower and wheels.

Is there a difference in gearboxes on the DCI, I have a DCI 100 and having a look on eBay and some of the driveshafts have both sides splines and others have bearing one end? splines bearings Apologies i'm not that clued up 😂

I have a MK2 DCI which has 182 running gear. The passenger side driveshaft has gone, is there a difference between the DCI and 182 driveshafts?

Car has started to make a humming noise when going over 40 and vibration which gets worse the faster you go. Seems to be coming from the front and the noise gets less when i turn right. Was in for it's MOT yesterday so got him to look at the front wheel bearings and he couldn't see any play in...
