Mk1 Williams and 16v ooze retro chic
172 Ph1 Original RS Clio. Demands admiration.
172 Ph2 Has mild aggressive features but also its subtlety makes it quite a nifty Q car
182 Similar but better colour palette makes it more sporty looking and Xenons add exclusivity
Mk3 197...
Spoiler and front splitter on Cup packed 182s is bigger. Different colour options. Exhaust. Not sure if all 172s have Xenons and therefore the washer jets in the front bumper?
:hail: :hail::hail: Mother of God. This beats the Ph1 appreciation thread for car p**n.
If I had a valver or Williams I think I'd restore it and moth ball it. I nearly bought one about 2006 but insurance was too high so bought a 106 GTi instead. I'm old now though ;)

 looked awesome. I went with a friend in his RS Twingo and parked up close to an RS200 Clio and an R26 and got most excited by the ph-quick. See the others everyday. Not every day you get to see a ph1 :D
Deffo yeah. Just get that and a Motorsport mount. If you get on with it and find you want a few more features then sell it again. I doubt you'll lose any money.
They're all awesome. Later ones have wider angle but I've had some good experiences with all of them even to very first. If you're on a budget get an early one. I'm using a black edition ATM but unless you're heavily into it it's not worth three times the price of an earlier second hand model...
That side profile is growing on me tbh. Shame the front isn't wider to give it more stance. No doubt it'll be quicker than a 197/200 but at what cost? :(
Sold my S1 106 a few months ago. Still miss it :( very hard to replace that feeling of old French hatch. The 172 Cup would capture a lot of that feeling though I think. ;)
