Hi all. I'll need to replace my front disks soon and wanted to know if anyone has fitted aftermarket units with any success? I've looked at the K-Tec Black edition, as well as the fleBay units, so any advice, based on actual experience, would be appreciated? Also experience of alternative Pads...
Boring, I know but I'm after a new set of Renault Sport mats and the local Dealer (Epsom) say's their no longer available  I've seen them on fleeBay but paying £47 + £8 p&p seems steep. Anyone know where to get a set, at a reasonable price?
Hi Raptor. Thanks for the quick response. How do you find these, in comparison with the standard (Brembo/Ferodo?) pads. I noted on the pic's that they're stamped 'Renault' on the TWR pads, so wondering where you got them and how much they were?
Looks like you had a total refurbishment on the...
Has anyone tried out the Carbon Lorraine or Ferodo DS2500 Brake Pads on the standard Brembo front disk set up? If so, can you advise if you found an improvement, or not ;)
Can't afford to replace the Disks and Pads at the moment, so hoping this will resolve the poor braking performance I'm...
I was hoping to hear about a remedy to switch off the TC permanently, without spending a fortune.
However, in response to some of the questions raised, yes, I do drive it quickly, all the time ;) and if you drive "normally", the ESP system won't even come in to play! As for the Traction...
Hi fellow 197/200 drivers. Does anyone know how to permanently switch off the bl*%dy TC, without a hammer? I just don't like the 'ON' default status :dapprove: and I also don't like the seat belt buzzer, but guess that's easily resolved. I'll just /belt up.
PS. Have to laugh at the on going...
Looks great and should be loads of FUN, once you've run it in
:dapprove: Can't believe the negativity of some people on this Forum though. Still, anyone who drives a Jetta can't be taken seriously, can they?
Hi Mark. Nice work with the elbow grease. Just wondering what you used on the wheel nuts and calipers, as my set are really discoloured? It looks like you've resolved that issue, so advice would be appreciated ;)
Saw this Thread after I took my 197 in for a couple of Warranty issues including a similar fault on my steering wheel  Didn't want to say anything till it was confirmed, so Great News; after a wait of less than 2 weeks, it's been replaced :race:
Go forth and claim ;)
Has anyone fitted these disks from K-Tec and if so, which pads did you choose http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2564 ;). Was it worth it:clap:
I'd also be interested in hearing of any other aftermaket disks anyone has fitted to this model, with real benefits :approve:.
Main use is...
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has had their wheels replaced under warranty? When I swapped my Alloys around the other day, I noticed that their slightly corroded on the inside webs  The wheel nuts are also really discoloured :dapprove:, so considering if it's worth asking to get them...
:o Boring I know, but any recomendations on well made, good quality mats (Carpet) or is there any discount on the Renault Sport ones, through this Forum :D
It seems a shame to bring this Forum down to the level of some of the DH's on the BMW ones :dapprove: Still, back on thread and as an ex M3 owner, I'm pleasently surprised by the fun that can be had from the 197, though very surprised that unfortunately, it's matching the M3's 19 MPG ;) Your...
