Hi folks
Been having some problems the last few weeks with the car occasionally feeling like it's holding back.. some nights it also loses power for a short while until you downchange, this seems to be only when the car is cold though.
Lately the revs have began to bounce between 0 and 1000...
Falkland have quoted as follows
We would only use main dealer parts for these engines - prices as
follows :
Cam Belt Kit - £146.08 + vat
Plug Caps - £10.93 + vat (pair).
Aux Belt Kit - £119.99 + vat (optional but advised).
Labour - £240 + vat
adding the VAT at 20%...
As above looking to get the belts changed on my 172.. does anyone know of anywhere localish that has the tools to do the job at a decent rate.. Am not a fan of That Arnold Clark on the Kingsway at all... Someone suggested Autoecosse?
Any tips would be great also what do people find its costing...
The steering wheel is alright for me... better that that muckle great standard things... as long as it turns the wheels i suppose :)
Mods.. errm... 60mm springs, SS cat back, and those BK299's and of course that steering wheel :)

The Ones that are on have new rubber, so will perhaps when its time to change tyres i'll see about getting the proper wheels put back on it! I'm too old for the modifying scene these days lol, so it will be a case of less is more with this one :P to be honest it's just a stop gap car to do me...
Alright Bud
No plans really apart from getting it well serviced and tidied up, already has a nice full SS exhaust and is pretty decent bodywise, so just planning on spending some spanner time sprucing up the mechanicals really, i'm up near Dundee.
Hi Guys
Just bought myself a little 172 sport to run around in, forum comes highly recommended as a decent place for meets and help/advice etc
Will have a good read through the place then get myself joined up for hopefully a bit of banter,
I feel like ilm too old for this car now at 30, but...
