£7600! You’re not wrong there. You could get a super charger and upgraded engine parts for that, with the engine work - plus alot of change back. I know a man in Harlow (that we all know of) that has developed a super charger for the 172 and 182….Mr Fish. 230 bhp – linear – no lag...

MK1 - If I found a low mileage MK1 I'd sell the 182 tomorrow.

Get a piggy back unit. They're more than a normal chip, but you can take it off and put it back on when the need is there.

Yes and no idea! They're a little naughty in a way as it restricts you from only ever getting reggie parts. I opted out the original nav kit for a full Kenwood kit (KNA3200, TMC unit, M900 controller, DV725 head unit), I take it you have the reggie Nav?

I've got a KNA3200 and Road Angel working, the pick up points are in the centre of the front screen. The heat reflective film on the front screen reduces the signal, but doesn't stop it.
