Hello,
I need an opinion...
I'm gettin a set of speedline 2118's in white ... but they're used so I have to repaint them ...
Should I repaint them white, anthracite, black with orange lettering (speedline corse), etc?
Need help :S
Cheers!
I agree with Clio_dci100.. and not only because I have a dCi100 too .. lol :D
We have dCi100's (most are Megane's) here in Portugal that are remapped, and not one has had a broken gearbox (that I know of :D)! You may say that shifting with it is a bit .. hum.. strange.. I agree.. but you get...
To blow up an engine ( any engine ) you have to drive it pretty roughly! But, I beleive you if you say that, Matt Black.
It's just that a lot of company cars here in Portugal are Clios (dci65 mainly) and those are driven harshly! And I never heard of any dCi engines blowing up on forum either...
The dCi80 has a diferent turbo than dCi100/105, so you can't remap all these to the same level, with stock hardware!
And even the dCi105 has diferent injectors than the dCi100, so I'm guessing the 105 gets the medal for bhp/remap, hehe.
Regarding the dCi100 box...
It's has edde says!
The box...
Edde - On mk1 clios you had 1.9D (not turbo) with 65bhp.
On Clios you only have 1.5L dCi's. 65, 80 and 100bhp! Later on the mk3 Clios they all had a 5bhp upgrade, hehe.
There are also 1,9dCi, 2.0dCi, 2.2dCi, 3.0dCi, etc but not on Clios. :D
feel free to visit www.dcioffice.net for more info...
Just to mention that there is a DIY EGR cleaning guide on www.dcioffice.net, if you guys need it.
EGR on diesels are only closed at WOT (wide open throttle), so you might have a blocked EGR :)
But check your pipes, too.
Cheers!
