We are about to get the 182 in Oz---I have a low k 172,and love it
Is an upgrade worth it?(I must say the cruise wouild be nice!)
It would probably cost me 10K
We get them in December,--actually cost LESS than the 172s were!!!!!
Any further word on a new model clio?
Thanks
Should a 172 start first time everytime?
Mine can be difficult to cold start even in our mildish weather at the moment, fuel pump and coil recently replaced to cure mid range miss, but the car still remains a difficult starter. It turns but just wont fire.
Has done 20K
Thanks
16s are the go-- they can look bigger if you get the right style(spoke right to the edge of the rim)
Tyres are considerably cheaper and you have more chance of recognising a flat before you shred the tyre
Also much less chance of stuffing the rim if kerb and wheel meet
We are about to get a "facelifted" clio 2 here in Australia(no news about the 182 tho) in July
Apparently it has slightly different headlights and interior but pretty much the same car.You guys get upgrades well before we do.yet I have seen no mention of this on the forum
Any comments?
Thanks guys
Picked the car up today and she goes like a rocket!
Dealer was a little red-faced,bc I suggested the coil in the first place after our forum discussion, but they knew best!!
Anyway got a free new pump:)
I bought them for my172/2 (Im in Australia) cost AUD 55.00
They are crystal clear and you really would not notice them
We dont get the 182 here but I would guess it would be the same---I had the same worry as you and they were the first thing I bought
No damage to the lens or body work and...
You were right Jay,they insisted on replacing the fuel pump and putting the latest software upgrade in---result worse!!!!
They have now fitted new coil pack and assure me all is well---I pick it up tomorrow!!
This wheel feels like vinyl--ie slippery and does not "squeak" when rubbed,I know it is speced as leather but just doesnt feel it.
?anybody else have any comments
Thanks Jay,how do you actually check the coil pack----they dismissed it as a cause when the fault didnt read out,it sounds like you have had a very similar problem,do they just swap it and see?
Anybody had fuel pump problems on mk2 172?
Mine can be hard to start and regularly misses at about 4500 RPM under hard acceleration, but not if you wind it up a little slower
The coil pack is ok and the fault does not come up on the readout, altho the dealer admits there is a problem (it...
Use an epoxy putty---the type thats in a "sausage"--the hardener is in the middle and you basically just slice off what you need and then roll and mix it till it gets warm, you then have about 10 minutes to work before it hardens
It can be sanded and painted.Auto paints are fine for wheels but...
It is quite easy for minor scrapes if you can match the paint(silver /black is usually easy)You need the tyre off tho and feather the edge with 600 or higher waterproof paper.I dont bother with filler on the edge because the tyre fitter will probably disturb it when the tyre is popped onto the rim
