Right. The final news. I rang Renault UK Customer Services who advised me to take it into the dealers to have photographs taken. Thee dealer would send them to Renault and they would decide if they were going to allow the replacement, and how much they were going to contribute. if anything...
Renault dealer are saying that as it's an Interior Trim item it may only be covered in the first 12 months of ownership.
Anyone had their steering wheel replace in years 2 or 3? or any other interior trim item?

That is way way too much. I paid £158 (Benfield Renault) and alot of other people on here have paid less than that. The 24k service is the same as the 12k service.
Anyone who pays 16k for a 197 is a mug. They can be had on the internet for £13,900. I think i'll wait until the cup version rolls up. I don't fancy having my ass handed to me by some estate agent in a Cooper S!
I think it's £190 for 172/182's, if they are Band F 186-225 CO2. This applies to cars registered after March 2001.
If before March 2001 then its <1549cc is £110 and >1550cc is £175
