After owning my 197 for a few weeks now, a few "small" issues have come to light. I decided to make the most of my warranty and take a trip to the dealers. The main problem I'd noticed was a slight knock from the steering wheel when turning at slow speeds - turns out my steering column needs...

We went to Cornwall a few weeks back and had the same problem, ended up leaving our bag with keys in stashed in some rocks on the beach!

I'm meeting people at Corley services, so may see a few clios when joining the M1 at J19 I think it is!

Looks really smart, I much prefer this front end to the new RS one!

Thought I'd share a handful of photos I took today at Donnington, as I got around 500 in total! This was my first ever visit to a track, and therefore my first time at attempting motorsport photography but I'm pretty pleased with most of the shots I got. Taken with an EOS 350D and Sigma 300mm...

Well I'm looking at 197's for around 10 - 11k, there's a load around for that sort of price with decent milage on 08 plates I've found, but as of now Renault have none that match what I want, as I'm after an albi, they have a fair few in other colours though. They've said they'll try to find one...

I've been saving a while for a 197 now, and the time has come where I can afford it. I've had my car up for sale for a while and not had much interest, so yesterday got a quote for part ex from a Renault dealer. They said they would give me £5700 for the car, which I was pleasantly surprised...

Same for me, I got the kestrel DA one and have managed to use it really effectively so far, didn't take long to get the hang of it!

Poorboys SSR2 or higher, and a machine polisher - the only ones I use and they work a treat, I've only just started using a machine too and get good results. They break down easily but are still effective.

Spent a few hours Saturday cleaning up my girlfriend's, friend's new car. It was an ex police surveillance car apparently, and had been knocked about, but we managed to smarten it up a fair bit. Gave me a good opportunity to have another go with the polisher, pretty pleased with how it came...
