Ive bleed the system and the temps sitting half way again but i was talking to someone who said that it could be the head gasket that caused the bottom radiator pipe to come off. Any thoughts?

Was in stop start traffic driving through london and noticed the stop light came on and the engine light. Yea it was doing it before i replaced the belt but only did it once a day, ill have a look later on see if i can see where the noise is comming from and see if i can get it any tighter. Is there much chance it could be the alternator bearings or something?

Ive tightened it as much as it will allow by loosing the upper and lower mounting bolts and moving the alternator but it still doesnt seem very tight can almost twist the belt 180 degree.

garage rang, knackered 12 valves but luckily its still under warranty.

Cambelt snapped after being replaced eight months ago. Ive took it back to the garage that done it any ideas whats gonna happen? I was gutted when the AA block said it was the cambelt!
