I drenched it in a load of plusgas over a couple of days and then used molegrips, was an ar*e to get out. Or you could cut the sides of the round bolt so it's square and use a socket. Such a terrible design by Renault to use a star nut on a bolt like that.

Only just seen this Paul, shame I missed you. The sunny is going in for both sills to be fully restored/replaced end July and then it'll be back on the road for what's left of summer. I've managed to move the restoration on quite a bit but a fair bit still to do (bodywork mostly).

Just updating this thread as I get queries from time to time on pm. I managed to sell the lions to some guy in France who paid me a decent price and came over with a van.
You can get independent key fob people to program a new key for about £100 I think - including the cost of the new fob. You just get the blade cut at timpsons.
