I drenched it in a load of plusgas over a couple of days and then used molegrips, was an ar*e to get out. Or you could cut the sides of the round bolt so it's square and use a socket. Such a terrible design by Renault to use a star nut on a bolt like that.
Just went back and looked at your original thread, you were really pushing on with the strip out and engine tidy up - with a bit more of a push I reckon you could get it sorted, doesn't sound like too much given the work you put in already those years ago. As Coops said - how are the inner...
Only just seen this Paul, shame I missed you. The sunny is going in for both sills to be fully restored/replaced end July and then it'll be back on the road for what's left of summer. I've managed to move the restoration on quite a bit but a fair bit still to do (bodywork mostly).
Great updates Paul, I’m making slow progress with my one but it’s getting there. Could maybe meet you in August if yours is ready.
Top work on getting the 16”s - every sunny should have them IMO 😆

@DanDan172 i came a cross this thread and wondered if I might be having a similar issue. Do you mean to say there is a relay in behind this part of the dash?
Lots of new bits for it then!! It’s good to have a bit of time to get the car sorted, I seem to be working all the time and barely get a chance to do anything on mine.
I was lucky enough to get a couple of wings from an exclusive a while ago but let me know how you get on with the plastex as...
If you would only buy another one then my advice is don’t sell the one you’ve got.
I sold my cup when one of the cylinders went and the repair costs was bigger than the value of it to me at the time. I regretted it as I loved that car and I often trawl the net looking for it, I reckon I’d buy...
That’s incredible value for all those bits, enjoying this thread - can’t wait to see what you do to it!
I used to have a moonstone HDI which I did a lot of work to. I still have a set of 17” Wheelmania Lions that I’m looking to sell at some point - they made the car look epic.
