No point calling AA, they do breakdowns and they'd charge over the odds. Take it down to a garage somewhere get them to check it out. Most places would do a free check.

Bit of a sharp bend just before where it was turning, so when it came into view it was only a couple of yards in front of me. Just no time, I guess. There's never usually any trouble round there, so...nevermind.

Yeah, that makes sense for your situation. Go for the 172. They're nice cars, nice to drive and handle well. You have to make sure it's the right decision for you. I'm still in the phase of wanting a valver or a williams!
