Changed the LH lower arm on MK2. Had a problem with replacing the old bush link between roll bar and arm, trying to squash it enough to get the nut on underneath. Why couldn't they make the bolt a bit longer?
From my experience the Clio2 is much more durable than the MarkIV Fiesta of the same era. I've owned both with similar mileage but the Fiesta was terribly rust prone and the suspension and steering parts were an ongoing maintenance hassle. My Clio is bullet proof in comparison and no rust...
I've fixed it! It was the inertia fuel cut off switch which was stuck on. I removed it with the plan in mind to bypass it then I chickened out on that idea and put it back on. The fiddling around with it must have switched it off . Everything works now, the relay's not buzzing any more. Brilliant!

Engine won't start, no warning and glowplug light Breakdown service diagnosed relay blown, towed home.
First question. do I have to remove relay box to get at relays, breakdown chap seemed to think so.
Second question. which is the pump and glow plug relays. Thanks.
I had a search on the forums but didn't find much to go on.
It all looks very cramped what with the air con and pas pulleys so I'm a bit hesitant on doing the job.
What needs to be removed first to get at everything?
Is there a belt tensioner on this model or do I have to slacken the alternator...
