I know it's an old thread and not sure if your still active but in one of your posts I can see you mention a weird noice when changing gear in the rs200. Just wondering if it caused you any problems as mine does the same. My fear is gear box problems. thanks sam

as much as i love my rs200 my point is surely these car should not be on the road? and surely people have already written to trading standards, Media ect

Warranty aside a product has to be fit for purpose. one would argue that a car that is unable to complete 28K (only 25k in mine) is not so. as R sport cars have just said with enough pressure renault seem to be offering 75% compensation, which kinda is the same as admitting the problem is real.

I cant understand why the rs 200 was never recalled it seem like this is happening to ever other one out there. mine has developed a weird noise when changing gear at high revs so looks like i will be joining you pretty soon :( are you the first owner ?

Yeah I will get them to do that. If that's the case how could damage occur the other side of the fuse ? That's the one thing I can't get my head around ?

As far I'm aware the exhaust is original ? Altho it is louder than my 197 courtesy car

Yeah there were pretty cheap so I doubt there were good quality .. I didn't imagine in a million years they would cause damage to the car as like Thomas just said they use less current so I thought they would be safer if anything. Also what's the point of a fuse if not to protect the loom from...

Very old thread but if anyone is still reading mine does the same 5k revs or above... Hopefully is nothing serious I just assumed the clutch maybe isn't as fast enough to match the revs resulting in an odd noise?

Yeah that's fair enough may do that as I have only just bought the car for peace of mind.You can see my concern tho looking through the forums it seems that every other 187/200 has had Gear box problems... Surely Renault should have done a recall if it's as bad as it appears ?! Love the car so...

Cheers man. They came from ebay here is the listing number: 111107944366 they are a bit more pricey than some other led bulbs on there but these seem pretty high quality, its all water tight sealed so should make them last longer. Had them in my previous car for about a year with no probs
