Cool, as long as that's right I'm happy. Yeah, I wasn't expecting much out of the rears, but just seemed a little funny that not all the hoses get replaced when you get a brake line kit. Just got to get them fitted now!
I've just had a new set of these delivered for the Clio :) There's 4 lines in the pack, but looking at the car, there are 2 flexi hoses on each side of the rear. So with only 4 hoses in the pack, the rear's will still have a normal rubber hose left on each side, is that right, or am I missing...
I'm planning on putting some in my 172. I want them to fit in with the standard interior as much as possible without looking just bolted on - currently thinking about putting them in the little storage pot on top of the clock / stereo display?
What have you guys done? Thoughts and pictures...
Hi mate, good to see there's some local's around :approve: That's actually my old 172 from a couple of years a go, bit of a long story about that one, but lets just say it wasn't the best car I've ever owned! Fortunately it didn't put me off for good and I now own a silver ph2. Of the two...
Good to know that the standard setup isn't too bad I guess, although I'd feel a lot happier putting something a bit better on tbh!
I was thinking of upgrading the pads on the front and leaving the standard discs in place, I've been looking at the Ferodo DS2500's myself, as well as the Carbone...
I'm looking at doing a novice track day at Snetterton in November in my totally standard 172.
I'm fairly sure the standard brakes won't cut track use but I'm not sure how far I need to go with them, I don't want to spend loads, but I don't want to make any silly compromises either. I need to...
Hmm, thats exactly what I thought. I'm confused then, it's definately an exhaust sound, not induction kit as it does it on idle. Could anything else be responsible for adding the little extra noise to it? Sounds quite good but just want to know what's been done to it, lol
I'm currently on the hunt for another 172. I went to see an 02 plate one today and noticed that the exhaust note was a little raspy for standard. When I asked the dealer about it he told me it had a brand new standard system on it, but it had a 4 branch manifold, hence the deeper tone. I've...
Cool I'll get some plugs tomorrow then and see what happens. If not, I'll have to do the leads. Would be nice to be able to do something simple to fix a problem for a change, I swear I own the worst 172 in the country!
Runs perfect above 2000 yeah. So plugs sorted it for you then? Looks like the way to go, especially as they're cheaper than the HT leads! Recommend sticking to the standard plugs or are there better ones?
More problems with my car :dapprove:
I had my coil pack go a while ago, when I had the new one fitted I was noticing that the car had a slight misfire at below 2000 revs, which got more noticable as the car got hotter. I put it down to another dodgy coil pack and replaced it on Wednesday...
