Re: UCH Clicking Relay - flashing lights - juddering wipers- juddering window - solv
My problem is back too, after going away for several months again. My gut feeling about it being an earth problem may have been right though, as on the MOT last week, the MOT tester found that the bolt...
Mmm, no harm in doing that... I think it's a multi-layer PCB tho, so I'd be lucky to find anything, but I'll ask the botanist in work if he has a magnifying glass I can borrow. Thanks! :)
My alternator was playing up last year too - I replaced it and it solved the UCH clicking for over 6 months!!! Or it may have been coincidence...
I just tried the spare UCH in mine, and I couldn't get it to do the clicking, so I really do think it is the UCH on mine. Flexing the board...
I had all the earths checked by an independent Renault specialist, and he confirmed it is the UCH :( I can just about get away with it at the mo by flexing the board in a certain way but that's a poor fix! I've got another UCH that I'm planning to do exactly the same as you - check if that UCH...
Re: UCH Clicking Relay - flashing lights - juddering wipers- juddering window - solv
You know the UCH is coded to the car, so it won't start with the wrong UCH in, yes? I bought a spare UCH for mine cos there's a guy near me who'll desolder the immobiliser chip and put it on another board for...
I've had an intermittent problem with my UCH for about a year, but it's so intermittent that I'm loathe to spend ~£400 on it in case it is a symptom, not a cause.
It's playing up a lot at the mo (a relay starts chattering, which knocks out the lights, windows, wipers and indicators), but it...
Re: UCH Clicking Relay - flashing lights - juddering wipers- juddering window - solv
I've got exactly the same problem as you. I've been posting about it off an on for about a year, and still not got to the bottom of it. I'm not convinced enough that it's the UCH to go and spend several...
ETA I've read somewhere that the ECU doesn't need changing as the transponder ring just sends the signal that the key has the right chip, so I hope that's true, would make life easier!
I need a new UCH for my car, old UCH no P8200272302A. I've just bought a new set (inc ignition barrel etc) but the part number is without the A, so just P8200272302. They're both N3 ver 5.2 tho.
Anyone know the difference or if it should be ok?
I've got two choices at the mo, swapping the...
The tight spot is between the inner lip of the alloy rim and the strut - there's not quite enough room for my to slip my (skinnyish!) finger in there. They're all on - I'll take it out for a quick spin to see if it feels ok.
I've just started fitting these wheels to my Clio: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221232960693
They're 195/45 R16 on a 7J rim, in place of the 185/55 R15 6J Dynamique wheels that were on there before.
The front one that I've just fitted seems very close to the suspension...
Ugh... gave me 6 months of peace, then back with a vengeance today, along with big clouds of black smoke (EGR valve I think) and finally the back wheel locking on me (detached brake shoe I think).
Well they do say things come in 3s, but I could cheerfully have dragged it straight to a scrappy...
