  182 Trophy Rs265
I watched the Cup finish up, and thought it could have pushed on a little too, especially with it having had a massive spend already -
The Trophy on the other hand is not even in the same league condition wise and in my view will eat money just to make it look even half right -

I'd love to have a 205GTI 1.9 as my next project because like you say most people understand what they are unlike the Clio's at the moment - however I did get stopped by someone on Saturday night who knew all about them when I was taking a picture of mine -

Do we think Tolman Motorsport are going around buying the best 205's to do there Resto's ??? - I've seen one and they look stunning but at well over 100k they should do.

I’m surprised how any of these cars fetch this type of money without pictures of the underneath.

There’s a Green 205 1.9 GTi parked next to mine at the storage unit. It's a standard car but it's in a sorry state of decay. It's been sitting there for 20 years, and despite my efforts, the owner remains a mystery.

Today, at Croft, my car was parked inside the garage, and it attracted quite a bit of attention. It seems these cars are well-known among the track fraternity. There was also a 172 Cup and a 182 Cup Inferno, and I was astonished at their condition; they were riddled. We’re now at a point where major fabrication and restoration work need to be factored into their values. The owner of the 172 Cup, who had just purchased it with the intention of keeping it, is already planning to sell it tomorrow after discovering how bad it is.

Your right as usual Jon - unless you really know what you are doing with these little things (which I don't) - they just eat money to get them to a good standard let alone a very high one, It does also come down to how you want to use it too now, as I'm now hearing people say they are going to spend upto 4k just to have the underneath sorted - no one factor's in that amount of cost in my view and that's why so many get flipped ( Buying one blind on Collecting cars for instance also doesn't help ) - sames rules apply for the 205 I'd say as there now knocking on to 40 year's old -

This is a stunning green Jon - not quite sure about the gold wheels though -

I had 3 205 1.9 Gti’s, all in red. How I wished I had kept the last of them.
I think the 172 Cups are definitely not so well known. Even saying that I own a Clio 172 gets a few people scratching their heads. I’m just going to keep mine in standard trim, get everything working right and worry about major stuff down the line. Maybe in 3-4 years their value may increase a little bit for now I think they may have settled and shouldn’t drop to stupid money.
