2001 Renault Clio II RSi 1.6 16V (nickname Old Lady Grey), any other RSi owners out there?

Hello everyone,

Proud owner of a 2001 Renault Clio RSi, and curious as to if this car is known to anyone on the forums. Reg Y57 YRY, and bought near Newcastle Upon Tyne about a year ago. Now she lives further south in Cambridgeshire.

There was no history or documentation provided with the car, which is why I'm curious if anyone on here as ever come across it. I'd like to get my hands on an owner's manual, service book and all the usual nomenclature that comes with one of these. Is that available somewhere?

Slowly working the car back to stock, as the previous 10 or so owners did some fiddling. Recently did a cambelt, water pump, aux belt, spark plugs, ignition coils, catalytic converter and some other regular maintenance bits and bobs. New stock suspension all around up next, depending on the rust I find when taking it all apart. The previous owner lowered it and spray painted the brakes blue 🤦‍♂️.

Aside from that, I'll be browsing the forums for some solutions to my technical issues. The main one being electrical, with a few looms missing it seems (cigarette lighter and central locking button are present, but no wiring to them!).

Happy driving and see ya 'round.

It was the same colour as yours mate but I re shelled it into a low miles shell as the RSI had 170k on it!

Headlights were sanded using wet and dry then polished up

Wow, that must’ve been quite a bit of work! Mines got 82k or so, but some nasty rust forming on the rear underside. I’ve got some headlight sanding to do then 😋.
