There is a right bit of excess cable running thorough the loft right enough.

Camera 1,3 & 4 are dodgy yet 2 is working 100% I’ve swapped and switched them about with no result. Might pull them all in the morning and just attach one at a time to try and see what’s going on.
I would, try rule out each part.

Anyone had any successes reducing wind noise from external cameras? My front cam gets the brunt of the wind coming over a huge hill and sometimes the wind noise is unbearable!

Can't see any obvious solution for hikvision cameras, anyone had any luck before?

Always an issue on these, can you turn it for motion only detection? Or, stick a foam/muff on over the mic area.
Only other option is put a baffle at the camera body to sweep the air around it.

Eufy or Ring? Or any other options to look at

Something easy to install, decent phone app, Looking for a Video doorbell and then a couple other cameras on top. One for down by the shed with a good light and probably another external facing up the garden.

No power to the shed currently so solar is the preferred option just now but do plan on running power down to it eventually.

Eufy for me, had the doorbell for over 2 years, zero issues and I have an internal camera for watching the dogs when we're out.

Be mindful of positioning for solar cams, my friend has a couple and UK winters do not provide enough sun, so he ends up having to go up a ladder to then charge them off the mains, you need a south facing position with no trees, etc, blocking or you'll end up having to do the same. Plugged in FTW.

I've had both eufy and ring, ring was hands down better on battery than eufy, app was better too but there is a subscription.

I would always recommend that going for a proper CCTV kit (POE) which can be had for around £400 if you go with something like a reolink.

One of the major downfalls of reolink and eufy is that it doesn't continuously record, neighbours got broken into and the lads ran off through our garden, the ring camera picked up the last seconds of them running out of the garden and was therefore useless, where as when there has been a recent incident I was able to watch the entire thing happen and pass this onto police to help another neighbour.

I got the S340 in February and the battery has been fine. East facing garden and I have trees blocking it early on. Also lose the sun just after midday on it. Never been below 80% and must ping off motion 30 times a day with me going in and out of the office.

What extra does the homebase give you?

My eufycams do continually record depends which ones you have

Are yours wired? I don't think you can continually record on the solar ones because of battery life.

Not sure how mine goes about recording, if it just records until it no longer detects motion or it is a fixed period. Guess I'll find out when someone trips it.

Yes wired ones work great record to sd card in cam or to homebase 3

Do you have to periodically format the SD card to stop it from corrupting like you do with dash cams?

No just changed it as it records over 500 times will tke up to a 128 card eufy outdoor cam2k (only certain type micro sd thou)

Or will records to homebase 3 which is expandable to 1TB think
