182 Trophy do I sell

  Clio 182
Back in the 2000,s Worked for Renault for 10 years watching the 182’s roll off production, never saw a trophy come my way. One day I see a trophy pop up for sale in my area had the cash was a good price, so excited didn’t even try knock him down so bit his hand off.
The next day he asked if he could buy it back and was a bit tearful. Obviously I said no.
Getting it ready for the next owner. Cambelt was done 10k 6 years ago. But slapping a new one on today! aux belt all tensioners, idlers, water pump, all fluids changed, full detail the works. Whatever needs doing will be done.
It’s done 55k miles, plenty of paperwork, I’ve put countless hours into it and getting it as perfect as can be

I’m reluctant to sell (who wouldn’t be) my question is… is it the right time to sell? how much are they currently worth?
I was surprised to see we buy any car offering £10k thought they might offer £2k

Does it still have the Sachs shocks and when were they last refurbished? Affects values quite a lot, even though that car screams garage queen/collectors piece at that mileage.

Have a read through the recent pages on that thread. Gives a good idea of current pricing (which has always tended to be a bit erratic).

The one at £17k had 50k miles and the one at £16k had 50k miles, so yeah you'd be looking at £15k plus on the right day.

Still have the Sachs they have been refurbed and boxed, and put the cup suspension on. She is number 328. Just replacing the cambelt on it this weekend detecting a slight leak from the rocker cover so might as well seal that up while I’m on it. Want her back to just rolled out of dieppe look gone super ocd and cleaning every part up as I go. Not urgent to sell as I can garage her up. Only pressure to sell is from the missus but I know 328 is a better ride and cost less to maintain.

Definitely 328? Will probably be worth a bit less as previously written off.

As above, #328 appears to have been written off very early in its life. Subsequently, it was repaired and returned to the road in 2006. Sadly, this will negatively impact on sale value (assuming the car is #328).

Looking like it’s 328 v2.0 it’s definitely 328 on the seat. This is new information to me, stupidly I never checked; I paid 4.5k so still a bargain. Ripping off the front end I have noticed that non oem bumper vibe and the ac condenser had a dent in it and some plastics are missing other than that the repair work must have been good everything lines up and all parts are oem stamped all the green and yellow paints can still be seen (not that proves much for replacement parts) making it hard to tell what exactly has been replaced. You guys are a wealth for information. This was my first post usually just a casual lurker. Such a good community. Thank you all for your input and @SharkyUK for the link and @Louis for the bants. I’ll have to get some pics up to be scrutinised
