Strong argument for just pirating it there, no point paying for the same thing 3 times is there 🤷🏻

I ended up buying the ultimate edition last week after finishing the main story when it was first released. Have enjoyed it tbf, must have done 15hours at least. Completed main story and going on round the side quests and gigs etc, feel like ive done 100s!
I would say you're playing it wrong doing the main story then the rest, I've always mixed in gigs and NCPD jobs between the main quest. Makes me feel like I'm actually living in the game.

I've just started playing this for the first time, on Steam Deck, which seems to struggle at times but enjoying the game massively. I'm on Act 2, met up with the guy that saved V's life, alter ego guy is popping up, but I'm mainly doing side missions like the delamain taxi one, rounding up all the rogue cabs which was fun. Struggling with the combat side of things, doesn't seem intuitive trying to dive behind cover, then pop up to shoot but I'll get to grips with that. City feels alive, seems like many side missions to do, I stumbled upon some hooker zone, went up to some guy who had a marker over him, he asked if I needed a hand, didn't realise it'd end up in a gay sex scene, tonight I'm off to find the women hookers.

You can sit back and hack, you can hide and shoot, or you can just go barrelling in and chop everyone down with whatever weapon you have to hand.

Did he give you a hand?

Scuttled a female hooker last night, she spent much less time on her knees, if she'd not vanished after I'd have shot her GTA style.

Great game though, really enjoying it, bugs still seem present but not enough to affect anything. Wandering around last night, some bloke was sat in fresh air, in the middle of a path, having a drink, no stool anywhere to be seen, made me chuckle then I punched him and ran off.

Great game this. In 8 hours so far after the recent Steam Summer Sale, where I got the Deluxe Version with the added DLC included.

Finding it much (much) easier to get into than Witcher 3. Maybe the genre just suits me better?
It's quite possibly my favourite game, I'm torn between this and Fallout.

I really like the genre, I've put 702h into it and managed to platinum it on the PS5.

Update 2.3 is around the corner too. https://www.ign.com/articles/cyberp...ming-for-something-as-impressive-as-update-22

Well worth it.

I've seen that you can push the game engine a little when you're driving around GTA-style and the graphics sometimes have a bit of pop-in. But on foot, it been really quite impressive. Fair play to getting so much content on-screen at the same time and in a smooth fashion.

Yes it does look fantastic. I just need to stop playing Factorio for a bit, but there's always so much to do still 😂

i got about half way though on the PS5 and then it went missing with the car, and i ended up getting a PC so haven't played it since, tempted to give it another go, one thing i didn't like what the levelling up s**t with your Skeleton. so many things to choose and different options, much prefer the Fallout style of getting a perk which gives you something special or makes you better at something.

Saying that it was a pretty good so may well try it again after i finish Fallout London.

Great game, could have been legendary if it was a 3rd person and the leveling up hacks/perks wasn't so complicated.

They nailed the world building though, very well done. I played through again on PS5 and got bored half way through.

This.

I stopped playing it in 2023 and thought about jumping back in since but it's just got too many elements to it. Loads of games are like this these days, it's a shame.

I wanted this to be like a futuristic GTA and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The graphics and the city etc were great but the gameplay / story etc was utter crap.
