Gaming/office chair

Had a quick search for previous threads on gaming chairs, but couldn’t see anything recent. In the past I’ve had a more traditional office chair style, however I notice that more styles seem to be going down the bucket/racing style route. I’ve seen a Corsair TC100 which seems to get good reviews.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Looking around the £200 mark. Thanks in advance

I've had an OMP one which was really comfy but it's currently fitted in the car. So I replaced that with an Italian one which is also super comfy.

I tried my mates Secretlab Titan and hated it.

I’ve got a secret lab, used to do 12 hour sessions no problem when I was a nerd gamer! Great chairs imo.

No worries!

Yes mate, I love the Titan. It is still immaculate and rock solid in terms of stability and operation. No signs of wear and still firm but comfy. I use this chair daily, for 12+ hours a day at least sometimes.

The only issue I have is that I have lost weight through illness and the XL is probably too big so I have to use cushions as additional bolstering! 😂🤣 I can sit cross-legged on it as I'm only a little guy.

I actually tried out one at IKEA recently for work and was really impressed. Great lumbar feel which I need. Think it had a quilted finish and cheap ISH.

I got one of the office chairs off amazon, they're all the same but dressed up. it's like sitting on a wooden stool.

I put a spare pillow on the tushie area..

It's uncomfortable, offers no support in any way shape or form. I use it to play on puter for an hour here or there, so it'll do.
.
If I worked 8 hours in an office, I'd have a Herman miller or whatever..

I've got the Titan Evo XL. I wish they'd left the lumbar support out though, I don't really rate it. Once it's protruding outwards, I found it to squeak too much for my liking, so it's just flat now.

Still using my SecretLabs Titan 2020 on a daily basis.

Not cheap - but a great chair. I wouldn't have any issues replacing it with another SecretLabs chair as and when this one is past its best.

I've got a office / gaming type chair for my room which i've had from Staples for about 3 or 4 years or so maybe more and my Dad needs a chair, so he's going to have my chair i have now, which will be ample for his needs. So I'm in need of a new leather type chair, recliner, I've seen some of the chairs you have like the Noble and Secret Lab and that but a bit over my budget, somewhere around £200, is there any other reccomendations? Think I'm going to commit to a secret lab this week. Or wait for any black Friday deals.

Been spending a fair amount in one on an evening now and the £30 jobby we have atm isn't fantastic and I can really feel the aches the next day. I am also getting old.

People still rate theirs? I'm guessing you kind of have to for the price 😬😬

Mine (the one above, still have it in perfect nick) has been the best chair I’ve ever ever sat in for long periods whilst working or gaming. It’s well worth the money imo.

A few years ago I bought a Steelcase Leap. It is very expensive for a chair, but it has 10 year warranty and all the adjustments you could need. I have used it daily for 4/5 years and it's still pretty much as it came out the box.

If I was buying again I’d go for a Herman Miller. Quite pricey but the refurbished ones are a lot cheaper.

The Titan Evo XL is a good chair. I do think it’s firm though.

No aches or pains after sitting in it. Had it 5 months now and it’s still as good as new.

Yep, fabric. And as new. I’ve probably averaged 15 hours a week sat in it since I bought it.

It felt a bit hard at first and was a little uncomfortable, but I researched and read online so expected this. Your body needs to adept to the fact theres something hard supporting it.

I've had 3 back operations over my lifetime and this char has really helped since I've bought it!

Fully agree with this. I bought the Titan Evo XL in softweave and it was WAY more firmer than I thought. When I gamed quite a bit on it, I had to use the 'lean back' nearer the end of long stints to avoid a numb arse. Was a really good chair though once dialled in.

Mrs has a Herman Miller through work and it is far superior as an office chair, but obviously isn't as cool looking.

At work I have a Dormeo (actually a bed manufacturer) 'Managers office Chair' (yeeeee b**ch) which is sublime. Its basically a memory foam chair made to look like an office chair. Unfortunately I think they're now discontinued. Hilariously, it was more expensive for me to buy it through my work account than it was to buy it from Costco. Oddly, we dont deal with Dormeo anymore....

At home, I just grabbed a nice swivel chair that came into us when a customer changed. The fact its a £2000 swivel chair is besides the point. But, its comfortable as all hell. For those on a budget, marketplace is swarming with that kind of stuff for next to nothing!

Still rocking the same Secret Lab Titan as a few years ago and it is still mint and wobble-/squeak-free. And I'm using mine for 8-12 hours a day more often than not.
