Turns out when i bought the car a few years ago, the dealer didnt fit the coilpack correctly meaning that it wasnt sealed properly. this meant water eroded the inside of it. So therefore the car wouldnt start. Glad it is finally working properly now

finally got it fixed. at first they thought it was the crank sensor. fitted it but didnt fix it. Turned out to be the transponder. Touch wood hopefully i wont have any problems anymore

yea im not too good with cars and being at uni i dont have the tools even if i was. If i cant get it started tomorrow i think i might have make use of my breakdown cover

My mk2 clio 1.2 wont start. when i turn the ignition on all lights go out apart from the 'electronic fault and preheating warning light' and then when i try to start it, the car will turn over but not start :mad:. Does anyone know why it wont start?

another problem has now developed with my mk2 clio. Whenever i start the car for the first time each day the engine will rev like mad between 1,000 and 2,000rpm, and then will cut out. It is then hard to start again after that and eventually will start by pumping the accelerator whilst turning...

i went to a quick fit on Monday and they told me one of the engine mounts needed replacing and the steering rack was also faulty. They told me to get it fixed at another garage. They then spent 2 and half hours on it today and dont think it is. The only thing they could find was a small noise...

Problem fixed without having to buy a new cable. just wiggled the old one a bit and it works fine now

I have got a mk2 3dr clio and the lever to move the seat forward to allow people to get in the back has broken. You are able to pull the lever all of the way but the seat will not lean forward. any suggestions on how to fix this?

Also the exhaust emissions light has now come on. Is this because of the knocking noise from the exhaust? Any help would be appreciated. It's getting quite annoying now!!
