Ok Matts car is now done....
As usual all the best plans go out the window when doing this kind of stuff. Matt wanted a sporty sound (actualy 93db) And thats what he got.
Ended up doing a more basic type system using 2 x small resonator silencers Aero AR25s and then into a Custom...
Id build an exhaust for that size engine out of 2" with mandrel bends...
2.5" is too big on a 1.6 and will be more restrictive than 2" as the low and high pressure pulses are lost in the system and the gas has to push its way out
BUT
Powerflow do go down to 1 3/4" and may of made it out of...

You will be running the same silencer Technology as these guys do.

First will be the 182 for us. Then onto the 172's
Our systems will be different to anything else on the market as they include the Patented Aero Silencer that has just not been available before in Europe. (Which is nice :-)

Was thinking about this today.... As Gary says. Each system will be built to order Im sure I will be able to make the JIg to account for PH-1 And PH2 systems.
Of course Im going to need one of each car to do this... Which is the Longer of the 2 and are the Flanges in line on these ? Also which...

Do you know if the down pipes are the same?
I have noticed that the 182 system Has a high flow down pipe thats 2.5".... that goes into a parts bin stock cat that exits in 2" then goes into a silencer then goes up to a 2.5"...

Id look at making something the would actualy perform well on your car BUT the all out style (only style @ the tip) systems is not really my thing Im affraid. NO offence intended.
