I did the 182 exhaust mani upgrade, and to be honest I will agree it probably makes no much difference on its own. But it will influence any other mods You've done or will do. After my CatCams 421 went in i did notice 10BHP increase near the red line, but after installing the exhaust mani it...
it's a nice upgrade, but You better off with V6 box (same box but 100mm single input, its 1/2 bigger in overal diameter)
as for gains i'll post some results shortly, since me and my mates will test few aftermarket solutions on rolling road (maxogen, v6 box with itg panel and few others)
From what I know .cal files are not encrypted in any way. All You need is basic map editing software like TunerPro to edit its content. Afcourse You need to know where and what to look for :) I'm not sure about the checksum thou. I guess it needs to be generated for the new file.
As I said it's not fully mapped yet. I hope to see a bit higher top end power and a bit more tidy RR graph after I hook up my Innovate LC-1 with RS Tuner ;)
hmm not true 421 work only after 5k range :) in my case 5k kick is not even there any more
My ph1 172 pulls like a train from low down (propablly because it copes with 182 exhaust manifold) and its not even fully mapped yet.
Both, mine and my mates stock 182 makes about the same top end power...
Remember, that small sport battery is mainly just for starting a car. Someone here tested this setup and it turned out in normal car it lasted about a year :/ And if You use the car only on weekends it may not even last a year. Not a good deal for that price.
Do a search, info is here somewhere.
I forgot to say it was made at 5 gear (maby thats why its nasty, slower more accurate) in 4th it spin up to fast and RR was interrupter at about 4k kick
not by it self no. I'm just saying how my power and torque changed before and after fitting 182 mani and full stainless steel exhaust.
before:
and after:
Notice the top end power is 2BHP less and 500rpm lower, but mid range is way better in ful range (and still last RR was made in 30'C heat...
I know the car is fast :) But i still wanted a bit more as for BHP figure ;) You think another OEM ECU custom calibration can help a bit ?
Since I fitted the 182 mani and full 2,5"exhaust and made little adjustements to the inlet side the car became bloody fast. Seriuosly it pulls like bull...
As the records shows it gave me 20Nm increase and as much as 10BHP increase in full mid range till 5000rpm. unfortunately top end power is in significantly lower rpm than it used to be. (remember I use CatCams 421 and top end power before 182 mani was way beyond the standard setup)
So I did my RR run and to my disappointment top end power was nothing I expected.
After fitting the 182 mani the car pulled like bull from a start, I was hoping for a nice 19x figure after what RS Tuner showed me. In fact the car is much stronger till 5000rpms but top end power i not where it...
CatCams 421 / 182 exhaust manifold / few other mods
Can't complain for low down torque and power :) I eat Cupra 183BHP for breakfast :) But I was certainly counting for a better top end power output (looks like another calibration is needed)
167BHP atw to be exact (around 203BHP at the flywheel)
Mods ?? Not much to be exact ;)
CatCams 421 camshafts
RS stamped inlet manifold (further modified)
matched inlets (by myself)
Green Air Filter in V6 Box (as seen in the picture above)
4-2-1 exhaust manifold from Clio 182
full custom...
en035 did You manage to check the car on the RR ??
I was testing my V6 box setup latelly and finally the car makes reliable and steady power output.
Pretty much it looks that way now :) with few minor adjustements ;)
And few testing runs...
Finally the result :)
I'll be...
I'm pretty sure of that. But I've made my choice and it would not be wise to change RR now. I've made 2 runs so far and 1 is still to go (after the final calibration). Power on the engine seems right thou. I would be happy to see more but at least I'm sure it's accurate. I know of cheaper RR...
Yes it's ATW.
I guess ATW power is not correctly calculated
If You look closely, fields regarding rotating parts are filled by default
Check out the RR printout from bomber

Same type RR (rotating mass 310kg...
en035 nice work :) but I would like to see it on paper from RR :) I had a few good runs with RS tuner PA mode but at the end my car made 178BHP on standart Rolers.
This was done with CatCams and inlets matched but before my full exhaust system was installed
Did You get the weight right ?? My...
