Where to get one from other than k-tec? (£)

I have been looking everywhere for them and no luck, thanks in advance :)

go find a gale force wind, take a piss head on, that's the same as what you're trying to achive by fitting one IMO

He's trying to say they make no difference.

If you check the for sale threads in here and ebay you should be able to pick one up for £150-£200.

There are a few problems though... Problems like they're a fag to fit. Also, you'll need a new exhaust to go from the 182 manifold to the 172 exhaust. You'll need that to go on and fit at the same time as the manifold as it simply won't all fit together.

I will be tuning it further anyway. I have only recently got the car and it needs a full new exhaust system on it, so i thought i might aswell have the 182 manifold and decat full system built onto that once i have the manifold.

I was quite pleased with mine. But it was probably the decat that was fitted at the same time. Makes cat/decat swaps easy tho

I did the 182 exhaust mani upgrade, and to be honest I will agree it probably makes no much difference on its own. But it will influence any other mods You've done or will do. After my CatCams 421 went in i did notice 10BHP increase near the red line, but after installing the exhaust mani it bumped up 10BHP and 20Nm throughout entire rev range. Ofcourse with the mani i did enitre exhaust so I cant just blame everything on the mani :)

182 manifold effects the entire rev range. The 172 manifold although fine for peak power, creates a series of peaks and troughs in the torque curve, particularly in the lower half of the rev range.

Probably wont notice the difference unless you're stringing it together with a series of other mods that complement each other, but worth doing if you're planning to go further with the car

When I bought the car it had standard manifold, a fake kat, and a Remus Exhaust, it sounded nice and not too loud but it looked awful.
I took some acceleration times:
- 3"067 50-90 kph in 2nd gear
4"667 90-130 kph in 3rd gear

Mind that it was much colder, around 15°C.

Then I sold the Remus and bought a superstealth from k-tec, the car became A LOT noisier. I've thought it was the fake kat that created the annoying resonance so I fitted a dekat. The sound changed a bit but not much difference.
It's obvious that the exhaust it's not much silenced!
The car was slower than when I bought it too:
- 3"4 50-90
5"1 90-130

The next step had been a 182 manifold found here, and a short dekat for 172 ehxaust. The car felt faster and acceleration times confirmed that impression:

http://win.clubminitalia.com/vari/90-130-Gardus-manifold.avi
- 3"2 50-90
- 4"73 90-130
It was a hotter day, around 27-28°, so I think it's faster, it feels more linear and it pulls more in the middle range of revs.

Now I have a metallic kat, I'll try a run with 98-100 ron fuel at night.
