My Clio (1.4 RT) is idling irratically. Not excessive but its uneven. Ive tried a few thing but none have worked. Anyone got any Ideas on what/where I should start looking? Im not a mechanic so I aint got a clue really. This is what Ive done already >
New plugs
New Dizzy cap
Injector...
I decided to clean out the coolant coz I got a leak the other day (just as I arrived in Blackpool). Got a replacement pipe from Renault for £30 all in so not so bad. Better than I was expecting (it was the metal pipe that ruptured not a rubber one).
Cheers for the help.
Got a 1.4RT and Im not sure how to empty the coolant. Added som Rad Flush to help clean it out but I cant find any drainage point. Is it a case of just taking the hoses off?
Ta in advance anyone.
Just a quick quezzy. Do the mark 2 wheels fit straight on the mark 1? Have Renault juggled the nut alignment on it or are they the same? Seen loads of nice Mk2 wheels on Ebay but have been afraid to bid incase I waste me monies.
Ta very much.
Might be a daft question but Im a newbie to Clios.
Is it poss to fit a willy bonnet on a normal 1.4 RT or are the mounting diff? If so, can you buy them and where from? Had a look at several bonnet vents and none look as good as those.
Lovely car btw. Wanna swap? ;)
Hi, I think I got a problem with the single point injector on me car. Its a K reg Clio 1.4 and although the engine is quiet (had tappets done etc) theres still a pretty loud tapping coming from the injector. I know there should be some noise but it does seem excessive? Never had another Clio so...
Ive just done my boot!
Did the respray on the boot meself an all, only prob is it makes the rest of the body look plop. So Im gonna have to do it all now. What you reckon?

Ooh you reckon? Will they fit straight on? TBH never noticed the diff between the phase 1 and 2 rear lights. Got any pics?

Was wondering. How much should be done to a car when modding it. Get the impression some people think less is more. So, heres a list of some of the things I was going to do to me K reg 1.4 RT Clio. Tell me what you think I should add/take away.
Debadge it (already done)
Smoothed the tailgate...
My Clio came from an old fella that popped his cloggs. Less that a 4000 miles a year I worked it out at. I nearly done that already and Ive only just got it. Well not really but I will soon enough. Its in mint nick an all apart from the rear right bearing going which Ive had fixed.
Just got a copy of the Haynes - Max Power modding your Clio book thingy and need some help.
In the book it shows you how to mount and wire up the rear boot so you can open it from the inside using the rear washer stem. Thing is, it shows you pictures of the bits used but I cant find anything...
Has anyone ever done this?
Ive been told that drilling some holes in the stock air filter will give the "throaty roar" you get from the likes of the K&N Filter (Maybe not as much but some of it). Is it possible to do on a Stock filter on a 1.4 Clio on a K? If so, how do I go about it, where...
Im gonna leave it for now. Eventually Ill get round to it and fix it but Im disabled so its not easy for me to do. Still, shouldnt cost much to have fixed now I know what it is. I was worried I had some weird leak in the door or floor.
Thanks for your help.
So the phases are just minor changes yeah?
The old clio type is Mk1 and the new ones Terry Henry is floggin are Mk2?

Youre bang on mate.
I pressed the doobrie to spray water onto the back window and nothing came out. However, it was pooring into the back seat well. Thanks for the pointer.
Now all I need to do is work out what to do about it. I could leave it and never use the rear washer, or have it fixed...
Hi. Ive got this strange problem with my Clio.
When I bought it (second hand) it had a puddle in the rear left passenger foot area. Id put it down to the valetors missing the spot when drying it out. However, Ive just got it again. When I say puddle, I mean a circular area about 1-2...
