as already said, would be cheaper just to buy as faster car.
but if you dead set on throwing money at your 1.6 then, you should probably start by deciding what you want from it.
- Big power number (relative!)
- Go fast in a straight line
- Go fast round a track
- Look good
- etc.

and yes in terms of power the clio does feel a tad slow by comparison, but it does have its advantages, such as being able to chuck it into a corner and not have to worry about if there is a pot hole on the exit line, or is the a drain cover, or some diesel / oil or the...
yea its a very good bike, comfy, endless power, smoth, and reasuringly stable also gets good mpg if your careful, i've had 41mpg out of it,. but there have been claims of 65! (however, if you spank it everywhere its gets 4mpg :S)

I shall put it up anyway, as is. but obviously not going to part with it for £600. and i will look into getting it fixed, and will be checking the scrappy for air con radiator.
I will be discussing with rentec, but i'm farily sure its an issue with an inlet value.
and i hear what your saying, but surly you have to draw the line somewhere at throwing money at it?
not this time, i shall probably consult Mike at Rentec, he has looked after the car and done 70% of the work on it, i actually swaped him my DCi 80 for it :)
what have i fixed,. ok.
coil pack died.
exhaust fell of (was quite funny actually)
Head gasket went. that was a biggy!
Idle issues,
sticking throttle.
radio / cd player died.
radiator rusted out.
Air con radiator sprung a leak. (didn't really fix that,. just took it out :S )
it was mainly that...
well it is a sad day for me, after spending a large amount of cash fixing up the car, it has developed a cylinder / valve type noise.
thus the car will be up in the 'for sale' section soon, hoping it goes to a new owner with more enthusiasm than i.
i shall be sad to see it go, its a cracking...
