Lol @ some of the posts on that forum. I know people are always going to 'big up' there own cars, the difference is that the 18 year old typical chav ford owner does not want to admit when they have been 'owned'. My mate has an ST and has openly admitted to my 182 cup being the better car on...
Take them off, but personally don't like them on the racing blue, look odd unless wheels are white. The paint will not be faded in anyway, a quick polish/mop will remove any dirt up against the side of the stripes.
Thanks guys, was thinking racing blue lettering but its too overdone for me.
I've not done the renault sport badge as i think they look dated so left it off for now and will be getting the 197 RS badge and doing that instead.
Match on the front seats to the back is not good, on the look...
3 weeks ago i was in the same position as you:
I brought 182 05 from a dealer, racing blue, 10,500 miles, both cup packs, recarros for 7K.
Im 21 with 1years NCB and i pay £1353 on insurance with a previous drink driving ban with Tesco.
Hope that gives you an idea.
Not a lot to show really, owned the car about 3-4weeks now, so far:
Silvertecs, Aero Wipers, Spray all badges same as wheels, remove stripes, white LED sidelights.
Soon: Private plate to go on, had plates made up, back standard, front standard width but 84mm height so no overhang.
Also on...
Whats with all this giving the car back crap, do you honestly think that 3 months after the cars been sold Renault will just have the car back and had over £15k or whatever was paid for it when they won't even give anymore that £75 compensation.
Re: Brought a car then sold the car - How much have you lost?
Brought a Mini Cooper S works in Jan last year, £12,5000, got banned in Feb for 9 months, was partly on finance so advsrtised it, with it being just after xmas, wouldnt sell for s**t, ended up selling it back to a dealer for £8700...
Thats cool, cheers mate, i knew one of the holes was elongated so the camber could be adjusted but by drilling the bottom one it can still be adjusted using the top hole, that spot on.
lol at the coilover comments on the trophy, however the sachs have been made precicely, for the perfect balance between a road dailY driver and track, whereas surely the top end of the range coilovers have been designed specifically for track use and so can only improve the overall handleing...
Its definatley a buyers market at the moment, i just picked up an 05 RB, 10k miles, Recarros, both cup packs for £7k and that was trade. Private for the same car i would expect to pay under £6.5k at the most. 197's can be got for 10k now so nobody wants to pay +7k for 182's anymore.
Haha, are you for real? Have obviously never driven a JCW S properly, my old one felt lots quicker than my 182, at 40bhp more with bags more torque its hardly surprising.
Cheers dude, im sure this is somthing that can be sorted providing there is space below the hole to drill it out a bit, but is youve managed it im sure it wont be a problem :)
Hmm good job i didnt order tham at the weekend then. Why are the cups different, i thought they just had diff springs, didnt realise it was actually different where the strut bolts to the car. The normally have one normal hole at the top and an elongated hole at the bottom...i take it this wont...
Seen it driving round stoke a few times but don't know whos it is.Very nice although in the flesh when moving i can't help thinking the wheels are far to small. :dapprove:
i ow a RB 182 and have removed the stripes(as i feel they make the car look dated which is understandable as they relate to renaults heritage)and i am looking to replace them with somthing more modern. I would only be interested in the door and roof decals, which from the picture should not need...
