Done some digging. Turns out it’s the radiator / hose that’s caused the leak this time and not the water pump
Starting to lose love with the car recently, small issues keep popping up and it’s really demotivating!
Couple of jobs completed yesterday.
Finished painting the cup racer tow eye and got that back to good condition on the car, as well as stripping 5kg worth of sound deadening out the car as well, every little helps towards the end goal!
Apologies for the s**t pics!
So after a long think recently, and with my mental health taking a large turn over the past two months.
time attack is being out on hold, I’ll be doing the odd single round entry, so I won’t be completely out of it, but not as I wanted too.
Having time attack lingering has been adding to the...
Photo's up from snetterton, here's my pic of my top few!
Can't wait to get back in the dry, absolutely love this track. Good to get on it when it was wet to learn the wet lines properly.
Went to snetterton today, tried to get a final track day out the way
what a wet wet wet day that was, had a couple of spins; caused a small bit of damage to the side skirt but nothing bad
as the day went on the drier the track got, so that was good to be able to feel the cars potential again...
Application has been sent off for the 2023 time attack series .. got one sponsor so far that i'll crack out once the livery is done and we've confirmed everything!
race license is being sent off this month as well, weird order im doing this in but only just found what license i actually needed...
MOT day today … and she passed, no advisories 😁 .. only covered 8k this past year, including a couple track days.
now to tuck it away and get sorted for the race season
Wrap up time for the Clio, MOT next month, but will be barely used over Christmas so had a final clean up and will be covered up!
In the mean time, doing a cheat oil change on the daily driver, 65,000 mile corsa B, don't judge!
Just before wrapping up, went to check the fluids and top up...
Title name changed, hopefully it's a bit more fitting for the build now.
Hoping to get a couple rounds of TA in next year, dead line for the car is April.
Unfortunately no I didn't! .. Was enough to show a small difference i think, once i change the seat over to a bucket ill get it weighed again at Alex's and see how much weight ive lost from the 1210 i was at last time with full interior and no rear seats!
Interior update.
there is none took all of it out, and getting it prepped up for a cage and new seat! Going to match with my drivers one, so no ‘ring trips for me for now!
front carpet does need to come out, I just ran out of time to get it out.
Been a while since i updated this
Had a successful track day at Castle Combe the other week, car felt great and a lot was learnt but there's a few changes I need to do in the suspension, definitely need stiffer springs coming into the new year.
Got some much needed tuition off of a friend of...
So I’m one step closer to figuring out what’s gone wrong. The fuse that controls the ecu, immobiliser etc keeps blowing
read somewhere someone else had this issue and the lambda wires had melted, so that’s my next port of call
So whilst the car is still parked up, yet to be taken to AW Motorworks, I got a couple pics from Turbo Renaults photographer from CSF, great to see it around the track :)
and then the reason i got black flagged .. cheers @Filters
