Welcome, and as above really, car that's been off the road nearly a decade would scare the hell out of me. Much better off with a well maintained used car

AC compressor makes clip clip noises... Like a horse?

This is the weirdest thing I think I've ever heard. Genuinely sounds like there's a full size house trotting around your engine bay, how odd

    throttle bodies

I lost overall peak torque, but the spread is considerably better, with much more available low down. Basically the age old adage of 'area under the curve' which is night and day over stock configuration for a low spec build really. To me it's the perfect balance of a n/a F4R. I've selected the...

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

Great to see her so close Neil, it's gonna be so damn good to see her sideways down craners at Donington or skittering down the goose neck at Cadwell

    throttle bodies

Coupled with some basic supporting mods as,detailed below it's yielded 212bhp and 159lbft but with 80% of that available from about 3000rpm, so a very solid, linear torque curve that isn't overly peaky but does keep pulling right to the 7800 limiter. Spec is : - 60K phase 1 172 engine - 197...

    Mk1 at Mallory Park

I'm actually not joking, mine used to tripod front and rear a fair bit, spent a lot of time and money making sure it doesn't unless I'm bouncing kerbs ;)

    Mk1 at Mallory Park

You need better suspension, a wheel in the air means it's not working and no tractive effort 🧐 ;)

    Mk1 at Mallory Park

Yeah you don't want huge power at Mallory, it's a short track with basically only 4 corners/complexes, so very easy to learn. But the undulating surface, off camber devil's elbow and huge sweeping Gerrards mean it's a bugger to master. Great little place imo and well worth a visit
