Harewood Speed Hillclimb? Based just north of Leeds.
I've no idea if they'd host club events/weekends etc but there's plenty of space at the top of the hill and the track is really good, they do host some car shows/meets from time to time.
I've had a look at their website and there is a contact...
I've got 225/45/18 and they work perfectly fine, fill the arch nicely with no real issues other than slight rub when on full lock and you can hear the odd rub when hitting a bump in the road!
I opted for PS4s due to the chunkier side wall!
Another decent Car Cave episode:
Also whoever recommended M539 Restorations, I thank you, I'm 7 episodes deep into Project Chicago, I have absolutely no idea about anything he is doing but I also can't stop watching.
Watched that yesterday, £7k a year to insure everything!
Got to be so frustrating to complete a rebuild just for a manufacturer supplied product not be to the exact spec of the original, bet there's been so much head scratching and annoyance.
You are a tall man.
Also, whilst the 'ring is closed for winter are you allowed to simply hop the barrier and have a wonder or did you need permission?
Pic at the Karussell is epic.
I've got that in my to-watch list!
I've gotten into AutoAlex recently. I went off the CarThrottle stuff a while ago as it became a bit stale, I saw Alex went off on his own and it didn't really interest me that much (and didn't suprise me either), I used to find his presenting style quite...
Updates.
Bought another set of wheels, kindly found by @Tubbs Vice on FB. 18" PH1 trophy wheels wrapped in NS-2Rs, in 225/40/18 which is the same size I'm using currently. Even better, the tyres have hardly been used, so much so there's still sticker residue on the surface, I'd consider these...
I've enjoyed the MCM Levorg build but you're right about pretending to work, feels like it's too 'for show' now and everything is very shiny, free tools and sponsors and whatnot.
I do enjoy their feature length specials though.
I'm sure I've read a couple of times that the Scorpion system is fairly quiet at first, just FYI. Apparently it needs a good 1000miles of use to allow carbon buildup and the true noise to come through.
I could also be talking absolute b****cks.
I fitted an ITG about a month ago and I love it, however with the car yet to be mapped it's just noise really at the moment. I'm still toying about whether to go exhaust then map, or just go straight to mapping as I really can't decide on exhaust options.
You're organising another Curborough day? 😬.
Yeah that's a good shout, however I drove Blyton a couple years back in my EP3 so I'm quite familiar with the layout already.
It's more just ensuring this car is a ready as can be really, it's just a daily driver with a few mods bolted on however I'm...
So after Saturday I'm now inspired to experience the car on track (like many), not specifically CSF'23 but at any given opportunity, hopefully in the new year. Then again, I drove home feeling inspired, however the next day I went to a local classic car event and drove home thinking about how...
Car looked great, I was meaning to come over for a natter but didn't get chance, hopefully next time!
I'm also a massive fan of the red too.
Now I'm sat here debating a black roof and smaller front plate.
Great day out, thanks to the admins for organising.
Don't think I met anyone really as I'm too much of a socially awkward c*nt and disappear into my shell at the slightest possibility, just pottered around with my cooler covered in lemons.
I think I shook hands with someone called Mark though...
