Then it should be a case of the magnetic ring or the sensor.
Best case would be a rear pick-up ring as they are replaceable for cheap.
I've used the W5 on the Clio and they were great, last ages but the bite wasn't as strong as CL RC6.... So the W6 or 6.5 should be better.
Quite a few of the Megane lads run W7 which must be savage.
The brake switch is adjustable, it's a ratcheting type plunger.
Keep adjusting it until you get the lights coming on with minimal pedal pressure.
Failing that it could be the steering angle sensor.
Needs to go to a proper AC place really.
