Hello,
Sounds like an absolutely textbook case of not enough gas pressure, I won't go into why, but the long/short of it is that it could be a simple mistake from the factory (i.e. they haven't put enough gas in it upon assembly. However this would be odd from a decent brand, I can think of two...
Bet that comes out lovely when clean, what with the Recaros & colour etc. Looks slightly lower than standard, has it had much done to it?
There's a few around Banbury & Oxfordshire, enough for a small monthly pizza/burger outing anyway.
If you posted a picture of your engine bay this forum could spot a non-standard nut or bolt lol...
Infact my bad, didn't spot the bit where you said you bought it off your brother. How are you finding it & what did you have before?
Out of interest, why are you so adamant? Have you owned the car from new?
There's nothing stopping someone fitting new lights & losing the invoice or not including it in the service history.
Dealers did (and do) have catalogues of approved aftermarket parts that they can fit themselves when...
@JamesT2992 , I think we're on a slightly different page. As I understood your post, you're yet to verify that:
the washers work & don't leak
that anything is even plumed in (there could be no leak because the washers aren't leaking, or there could be no visible leak because the washers aren't...
Take the bumper off and ensure that the headlight washers are actually connected to the washer pump.
The headlight washers like to leak, instead of paying £13 for a replacement lots of people just disconnect them and block off the pipework.
What does everyone do in the day? (srs question)
Play loud music, kick footballs around the camp site, let dogs off leads and generally annoy all the kia-driving caravan-towing OAPs?
FLOL. I entertained that idea then found it's £25 for a 15ml bottle. Any cheaper recommendations?
I find my headlights look lovely after 800, 1500, generic polish... then 3-6 months later look rubbish again
You can see the exposed aux belt pulley here:
Which is normally covered by the "flap" on the side of the arch liner:
Brake cooling options really are a bit crap on these cars:
* Package space is very tight so ducting diameter is hugely restricted.
* The discs vent from the outside inwards not...
I must say I'm rather put off by the atrocious driving standards these sorts of things seem to attract?
I have noticed that FCS offers a 2hr session with 20 cars max...
@JP83 2 mins 50 look familiar?
Some great pictures!
Can't believe I brought comfy shoes & jeans but forgot to bring a t-shirt or anything
I was running late so missed the start of the briefing & was made to stand outside and wait for it to finish. Felt like waiting for a school detention...
Organisation was a bit rubbish...
Completely right, I'd like to think I posted #43 at 3am or something xD Using Northloop's numbers:
MR = Spring / Wheel
1.7:1 = 1/1.7 = 0.6 ish giving you
wheel rate * 0.6 = spring rate
Or fit the Direzzas and watch "them lot" kill their tyres trying to chase you :tongueout:
Generally regarded as the fastest dry track day tyre give or take. On a more serious note, if you do buy them bear in mind they've clearly been used in competition and are half worn etc.
