Sorry those images are HUGE!
Thanks again @MrBlonde for organising. I agree with the above I think it's time to trial another venue.
Also if you want to see more images, @bowz_media and @bowen_7r on instagram.
Thanks
Aaron (not sure of his forum name?!) grabbed me and took advantage of a mini shoot for a donation to charity (I have the charity receipt with date)... Great example which Aaron pointed out was credit to the forum owner Olly(?)
I couldn't make Farmers Fayre (Childcare) and then I was even late to C&M. I met one or two members which was great but missed the rest of you. I was also parked pretty far away from any other clio.
Anyway, here's a selection of my photos. Rushed and in the harsh light so not the best.
Yes, if anyone is interested, I'll be taking photos anyway but if people donate £10 to charity I make a focused effort on their car and can supply them numerous hi res versions after the meet.
I don't want £10 cash on the day, just opens me up to all sorts of acquisitions. "Payment" / Donation...
I arranged a drive on some of the best roads in Wales and we had a great turn out and a few hundred pounds raised for charity, which is great.
The clio did really well. Comfortable and kept up with a lot more quicker machines on the twisties, not so much on the straights.
Towards the end of...
In other news...and where I need some help...
I removed the rear door cards and intend on putting some "track door cards" in place of the originals. This left the wires hanging out looking crap. I'll tidy them up I thought.
Big mistake. In my effort to tidy things up I've lost power to the...
I've arranged a drive out this bank holiday weekend of some of the best roads in Wales. There's a group of 15 of us. The aim is to have fun, take photos, drink coffee, talk shite and raise money for charity.
The route is about 4hrs long. That's when it hit me...
CUP HOLDER for my coffee...
Hello,
My first post in here (first of many?! who knows...)
Tidying up the wires in the rear of the Clio I unplugged the rear lights to give access and wipe down where the dirt gathers.
Connected all back up and I have no 3rd brake light. Got the multimeter out and there is no power going...
Got a few ideas... Watch this space.
You know, I didn't. Didn't even dawn on me until you said that. Tom is very old school in his method (although he's really young, well, younger than me) using scales, string and ballasts and not hunter alignment machines. I didn't even see a machine in...
Even just changing lanes on the A roads on the way home it was really accurate and direct.
Yeah big test is the Wales drive I'm organising. Which brings me on to my next modification.... A cup holder!
In layman's terms (or how I understand it) each wheel has a scale placed under it and using the height/pre load of the Coilovers the weight is the distributed to achieve a 50/50 split. Bit much for a road car but as this is a toy and it was included in the Geo anyway I thought why not.
Went to see Tom at the motorworks who is a genius when it comes to corner weighting and geo etc.
The drive there was uneventful the steering was out but it drive straight enough.
Met Tom discussed what I wanted from the setup and what the car will be used for and took my hefty frame in to...
When I bought the Clio it came with a box of spares and a box of upgrades/modifications.
One of these modifications was a Steering Wheel lowering kit. I never really thought it needed lowering but the kit was there so why not.
Fitting wasn't difficult but there's not guide with the kit and...
I've put the cowling etc back on now but give me until the afternoon and I'll take it back off and send you a pic.
Btw. I don't know if me bending the tabs back is the right thing to do but it worked for me.
Have you unlocked the handle for the OEM steering angle/height adjustment thing?
Also there is a tab either side that I bent out of the way to allow it to drop.
Reason I ask is the kit came with 4 bolts/spacers/washers.
I've searched (check me out!) and "burpspeed"? Used 4 but his was an all out track car and times change so maybe its just two now?
Just jumping in here.
When I bought my latest 182 there was a "steering wheel lowering kit" as advertised above £39 iirc?
The kit comes with 4 bolts and 4 spacers? Am I supposed to replace all 4 as I can see there is 4 m8 bolts holding the column up. Or are people just adding spacers to the...
