The car has apex lowering springs on which the owner has cable tied to the bottom cups. Upon jacking up the rear of the car today I realized why, the springs instantly pop out their seats and I need to feed them back in when lowering the car back down.
My issues are, surely they can quite...
Cracking on mate, cant be too long to go now before you can drive it. How much did the washer blanks set you back? make sure you get lots of layers of lacquer on them
I am in love with my wheels atm, just bugs me the refurb isnt 100% and there is a bit of lacquer peel so may refurb. Also need another turini centre cap but i cant find one 😞. The plate is larger than the normal size but nah its shorter than the recess, just my poor application from...

Really cant be bothered to do this update, becoming pointless but this needs to be added to the thread so i can link it when i come to sell the car.
Cambelt tools arrived
Went to ASDA today to buy a TV and saw they had tyre foam on offer at £4 so picked up a can as a just incase for if...
Ahh that makes sense, dont think i could have them sat there and not fit them, i would get too impatient haha. I would be interested to see if its a noticable difference with the matched inlets, i hope it is tbf. How long you got to go now until you can drive it?
Dunno on the red theme, unsure...
Haha, i literally dont know how a company as big as them can cause so many problems. i had issues with them and chose never to use them again, on the bright side though they did actually collect the cooksports yesterday so they may be a slim chance i may get them today!
I was gonna see if you...
Starting to build up a collection of suspension parts, so far i have New track rod ends, ball joints, Renault top mounts along with Renault steering rack bushes on the way, just need ARB bushes now to complete the refresh. Only waiting on the key element which is the cooksports but Yodel are...
How much were you willing to pay for them mate? I have came across a set of H&R's on ebay, off a mk2 1.2. Seller has relisted them as they didnt sell, first bid £50, delivery is a bit ridiculous tho. If you interested i can find it for you.
Not sure on if Eibach vary their springs between...
Updateish
Have bought some track rod ends and ball joints from ECP as they had an offer on. Might as well refresh the suspension whilst im removing the springs. Just need to order up ARB bushes and steering rack bushes to complete the suspension upgrade really.
Also just paid for some Samco...
Thats all i needed to hear, definatley investing in a set when funds allow. Clubsports seem to be the popular choice and tbf do look the best. Saw on CSOC your taking yours off the road, why so?
Thanks mate! Im loving the flocked bits, been having issues with the last order but think...
Thanks mate, got nothing better to do so might as well spend all my time/money in the car. Tbh I Prob wouldn't have cleaned it if I wasn't fitting my trims as takes forever, but do love the way it looks after its clean . How's the buckets treating you mate? Was debating investing in a set...
Update
As with pretty much every saturday it involves an update in this thread.
Fitted my new knob, love the way it feels:wink:. So glad i did it now as so much easier as i found the old one a little to big so going into reverse was a bit of a pain. The old one was anightmare to get off, on my...
Thanks man!
I've heard people have alarm sensors where the wire goes through the a pillar but mine had the mounts screwed to said pillar then the wire going round the side so was just a case of unscrewing it from the old one and screwing it to the new one
Now i think of it yeah the silver would match the silver on the badges, but the whole interior (ie. dash strips) are going black flock if he ever does dispatch them. So dont know if it would look a little strange it being the only silver bit. I'll fit it and if i change my mind i will take it...
Yeah mate its annoying 😞, worst case i will just change it for my spare though. The bus drivers near work are kn*bs and drive in the middle of the road, so its either curb the wheel or scratch the side of the car up. Not yet mate no, says you need to wait approx 72 hours before...
Update

You got a link to the gold plug? had a look but couldnt find one
Hmm that puts a spanner in the works. If it doesnt fit with the normal seats then i guess i will have no chance when fitting bucket seats in the near future. Shame as i miss my sub so bad 😂 Wonder if it can go anywhere else?
Some nice upgrades on this mate, am liking that makeshift breaker bar as well:tearsofjoy:. Does that under seat sub not fit then? Was just about to get the exact same one as have a boot sub in the spare room but am liking my boot space too much atm to fit it
