The lift reverse tab isn't connected to the gear knob. Just take the insert out then grip it with some mole grips and twist if off, or at least that's how I did it. If it doesn't want to come off then you have to saw it off with a hacksaw afaik
Yeah that would be most definatley be him. Although i swear there is another monaco that drives like a lunatic around Waterlooville. He drove into ASDA car park then i was filling up once (in my old 1.2, only proper fuel for the 182 ) Ragged it past me, then drove straight back out again...
Update
As with most weekends, its the only real time that i can get anything done on the car. Pretty much 2 steps forward 1 step back today.
Brakes
Recieved my order of some ATE supergold of George yesterday. As above, i have recently changed the discs and pads so only made sense to complete...
Haha fair enought bud. Just checking as my Dads friend drives a monaco 172 and lives in Denmead so was a possibility it was him
Dont know of many other sports around here tho
Started to notice this the other day and want to get it sorted asap.
Sometimes when driving i can turn the steering wheel 45 degrees in either direction from the 12'o'clock position before i start turning the wheels. Yet carry on 5 minutes and they steering is solid and there is no play at all...
Update
Fitted my new brakes today, had a few issues but overall i got it sorted. I now understand why my brakes were so poor 😂. Need to give it a few miles for the surface rust to come off the discs as they are feeling a little spongy at the moment. Also bought some ATE supegold...
So the parts that were meant to be arriving today are a set of discs and pads for the front and back. They are second hand but have loads of life left in them and overall the with the savings on second hand it made sense.
Fronts - Brembo grooved and drilled discs with brembo pads
rears - unsure...
Another ish update
Recieved my new boot mat off @Darren61, super quick delivery! Looks really nice and hides my stained boot carpet.
On the other hand booked Wednesday off work to do a bit of work on the car:
Need to work out & fix the unpredictable play in the steering
Fit some new parts that...
Haha you really went crazy with the detailing buying 😂, im hoping by sealing it it will stop me from buying anything else as i cant use it as the car is sealed. I alos try to one have 1 of each item such as 1 glaze, allows me to decide as im sh*t at making my mind up about...
Thanks mate, sealed on top with hydro2. Haha, atm i love just randomly trying new products on really small areas and seeing the difference. I dunno if the glaze is protected when you seal it, BH says that you can add a sealant on top of it. We shal see.
And yeah it just randomly fell on the...
Hes on ebay mate, ebay name 'blacksheepflocking'. All his items are flocked to order but he supplies the items. He mostly lists things on auctions at start prices of ~£1 but has a few things on buy it nows
And thanks mate, wanted something that looked oem to a certain extent but a bit...

If this is what you need then didnt take me long to find a set in yellow  @sparklesTHEpony
I had 25mm spacers when i had my rep. Wheels sat well in the arches and had no rubbing (untill i lowered it on coilovers).
You dont need spacers for the rear when fitting the sport kit but you can if you want the wheels to sit a little further out
Updateish
Flocked items
Have finally purchased everything i want in my interior to be flocked.
I already have fitted - A pillars, mirror covers, handbrake surround, speaker surround and hazard surround.
In the post - Door pulls, other door strips, dash strips and cup holder all in black
Trying...
Proper shame i didnt see these before i bought my dash strips mate. Ahh well, cheers for keeping me in mind tho . Whats the reason for replacing your arch liners?
Nice touch there, looks more mars red to me. Plus would be cooler saying its a v6 spoiler rather than trophy, despite the fact there is no atual difference
I got my sound deadening from ebay bud. Was ~£15 for 10 sheets and is really nice stuff. I'll get the link for you. Crossovers came as part of my kit but again you should easily geta set on ebay.
Cheers for the pics mate!, those look like 60mm as well, or maybe 59mm but even so seems like...
Yeah bud no worries, pm me if you need advise or have any issues. Cutting the plugs off the wires will work fine but not if you have crossovers. Upgrading the speaker wire is recommended as well.
Yeah pretty pleased with them mate, not too sure, I measured them and their 60mm, dunno what size...
If you haven't already got some with your speaker kit bud, i would strongly recommend getting some crossovers. My wiring goes, speaker to crossover, tweeter to crossover then crossover to headunit. This meant i only had to cut into the original loom once and that was to connect the crossover to...
Yeah yeah its all lies .
Big time mate, just bought some brushes, a glaze and sealant yesterday and might buy another wax in a min. And maybe a few other bits to sort my leather out. What was that black dye you bought again? might invest in a kit price dependant.
Doing it myself bud...
So i kind of gave up on this thread, got pretty bored of it but @sparklesTHEpony has persuaded to to update it so i will as im bored and got about 1 hour free.
Not many pics as i didnt expect to be updating the jobs im doing. But ahh well.
Going a little flocking mad. Have now got A pillars...
Jeez, someones had a payday 😂. I bought huggies when i got paid to . I love my aqua deluxe, need to invest in some more detailing brushes, you've just reminded me.
I'll get a couple of updates done on my thread then, i've been spending money, just more mechanical. Makes...
Haha yeah smells horrific :mask:😂, gonna get the lemon one when i run out. I want to get some new detailing bits but having issues finding out what works best for blue.
Yeah done loads and got some big things in the pipeline, given up on the project thread tho as was practically...
